Zombies frequently check inside. At the moment the Hospital is one of the few buildings in which Portable Generators have a use other than powering the lights, and increasing search probability. Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator. Hospitals are listed as Tactical Resource Points. Hospitals can be barricaded normally. Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals: "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire" "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape." "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals." "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards." "...its emergency room in disarray." "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters." "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. " "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes." St. Ferreol's Hospital, a tall concrete building surrounded by a large paved plaza with dark corridors leading through abandoned wards, is one of six hospitals located in Kempsterbank, a suburb of Malton.

[edit] Barricading Policy

Local survivor groups request that the hospital be kept at "very strongly barricaded," to allow entry to low level survivors and enable them to access supplies. See the Kempsterbank Barricade Plan for more details.

Local zombies, conversely, request that any cades be dismantled, and that the hospital doors be left wide open, to provide easy meals for low level zombies.

The St. Ferreol's Hospital Noise Abatement Society, a zombie group, formed in mid-August 2008 with the intention of tearing down the barricades, eating the harmanz inside, and ruining the building. Barhah!
