Description

The largest, and one of the most modern hospitals in Mornington, it used to include a heart clinic, which was the only one in Malton. The hospital now is usually only occupied by the returning nature, and the cold wind. A small part of the hospital remained functional, though not at all times.

History

Now one of what was, before the infection, the most modern hospitals in the city, St. Andrew's began its life as a hospital dedicated to the Crooketon residents involved in the "border wars" described in the Ashenden Way PD history. Many a resident of Crooketon spilled blood in the halls of St. Andrew's, and not all who did so walked out of their own accord, at least until the infection hit the city. Ironically, several of the wealthier residents of Crooketon who had gotten rich robbing the more affluent citizens of Mornington, poured their gains into a hospital in Mornington. After the open street brawls that once dominated the border became a rarer occurrence, the shareholders decided they wanted to follow in their ancestors footsteps by living a life of thievery, and quickly began modernizing and upgrading their hospital to attract some of the wealthiest citizens inside of Malton, for whom the high prices of medical marvels and comfort were no small thing to consider in their treatment.

Barricade Policy

Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB+4) as per Mornington's Barricade Plan.

According to the Mornington Barricade Plan this building should be kept at EHB at all times. --Jan Sadilek 20:52, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Current Status

You are inside St Andrew's Hospital, its emergency room in disarray. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. Also here are Slim Jack (60HP), Road Warrior Max (60HP) and Dr Mycroft Chris (60HP).A portable generator has been set up here. It is running, and powering a radio transmitter that's currently set to 26.12 MHz. A plastic Christmas tree has been set up here. One of the wards has been decorated with a conceptual painting, a stuffed alligator, a conceptual sculpture, seven European paintings and a contemporary painting.Somebody has spraypainted Practice of doctors Sue, Mycroft and Bellows onto a wall.--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:52, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Operational and functional, maintained temporarily by the DEM, along with its sister hospital, Sixtus General Hospital. It is, however, not advised to sleep here, due to zombie activity.
