Body Building Upgrade

Timmy G 17:09, 14 June 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
New skill

Suggestion scope
Survivors

Suggestion description
Buying body building should open up the second option to further upgrade a players strength, however, this new level of body building will give the player the ability to cause 1 more HP of damage with all non-firearm attacks. It makes sence to have this because someone with body building is stronger and should beable to cause more damage with physical attacks. Like the current level of bodybuilding, this level will also improve Zombies by adding and extra 1HP of damage to their claw attacks (adding the 1HP to teeth makes no sence because body building typicly does not strenghen the jaw muscles). This Skill should be with the current level of bodybuilding in the civilian section of the human tree and should cost 100exp after The current bodybuilding has been purchased. Finaly, by helping both Survivors and Zombies this skill is balanced and will alow Urban Dead players more room to grow.

EDIT

Ok It wont be carried over to zombies, also assuming this happends adding 1hp to say a fire axe is only realy making it 4-40% which is still alot less than say a pistol or a shot gun which has 65% accurasy and does more damage. I also Fail to see how this could cause humans to beabel to carry more items. Thanks for the positive feed back and suggestions to improve this.

Keep Votes:

  1. Keep - A real Simple addition to the game that makes alot of sence, it's also balanced.Timmy G 17:13, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep - Makes perfect sense, stronger body make more HP and damage.I'm surprised no one thought of this this earlier. And as for those critics, zombies are currently at a small disadvantage. Mail2345 07:00, 15 June 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes:

  1. Kill/Change - Great idea, but the zombie effect nerfs the bite. I suggest that this would make the accuracy of claws lower by 10% to balance with the effects of digestion and infectious bite. Besides, a more muscular zombie would no doubtly move slowler due to more weight, and so it makes sense that a survivor would be able to dodge the attack easier. Casthewiz 17:17, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  1. Kill - not needed --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 19:34, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Its not exactly balanced as it is. A new level of body building should also allow harmanz to carry more stuff, and perhaps, allow that +1 dmg to carry over to meele weapons. As it is, this skill only helps zmobies (i like that, but there is no way for that to pass). Since when harmans really uses punches to attack others ? i only use it to punch my friends. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 20:09, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill Not needed, unfortunately.--Seventythree 20:26, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  4. NEXUSWARS?!?! Not here Buddy. Giving four damage to a zombie with a 50% chance to hit is a no-no. --User:Axe27/Sig 21:28, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - Don't think it is good for game balance, as it lets zombies kill people really easy- they get BETTER than 50% chance to hit when you include tangling grasp. Pretty sure its a dupe, too. 21:31, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  6. Change -Remove the zombie part, as it is this is much more useful to zombies than survivors and that... is just wrong. Also I would suggest that you bold "all non-firearms attacks" as people seem to have gotten the idea that you said "punches", which would normally indicate that you edited after voting started, exept that you apparently didn't. --AlexanderRM 01:43, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill - Sorry, general damage raises are bad for everyone, people die fast enough as it is. --karek 03:55, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  8. Change - Take out the zombie bit and you'll get my vote. --Sonofagun18 04:13, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - Take any good browser based MMORPG and tweak the numbers nonsensically, destroying any balance it might have. That is what your suggestion does. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 05:29, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill - Wow, the firearms will be pratically useless... Nooo! --JudeMaverick Talk +1 Jobs 06:53, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - The idea makes perfect sense, but sometimes balance is better than realism or "making sense". --Nikitis 12:29, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - As Nikitis. Anotherpongo 17:27, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  13. Kill - Not needed. Blinkin the Gremlin RRF AU10 T RR GC 00:35, 16 June 2007 (BST)
  14. Kill - Not explored from both sides of the game, not written well, not balanced. armareum 00:55, 16 June 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. spam If only because the effect on fire axes and claws. Ruins the balance between the currently used weapons. - BzAli 21:24, 14 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam Makes zombies useless makes survivors supersoldiers. And Edited during voting to make said broken change. It's a bad idea but it was better when it was a buff for everyone,--karek 14:57, 15 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam Okay, This just gives more power to Survivors. Plus there's a reason why fireaxe only deals 3 damage, Its because its benefit is that you don't have to spend 2 day's worth of ap to find ammo. This basically makes the fireaxe nerf the pistol. Casthewiz 17:28, 15 June 2007 (BST)
