[edit] 20070619 Make tagging observable
Conster 15:34, 19 June 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
Observable actions
Suggestion scope
Spraying graffiti
Suggestion description
I've noticed that "useful" graffiti messages (explaining revive policy, for example) tend to be replaced with false information, nonsense, insults and racial slurs a lot. While I understand that this is part of the game, it seems strange that with over 50 people inside a building, one can spray graffiti on a wall without anyone noticing. Therefor, I propose that when you spray graffiti, this is observed by all other players in the same map, just like destroying/installing equipment.

Keep Votes
- Keep Yup. To be honest I thought that this was already the case.--Seventythree 17:39, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep Screw anonymity. --Magentaine 19:32, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Death to Graffiti Punks! --Hhal 20:35, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Makes sense. If there are people there they will see. If one wanna stay anonymous, he should spray on a spot with no others present, like in the real life. --CrazyArcher 22:20, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - I couldn't agree more, CrazyArcher!! You kill guys all suck... --Bruce Torbaron 01:07, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Yo do it, you pay for it. ~m T! Sugg. CFT 02:32, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep Makes sense. This way graffiti artists will have to be stealthier.--Wee Sonny MacGregor 04:36, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep/Change - make it switchable on/off like groans/broadcasts/etc --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 11:30, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Always assumed it already worked this way.--karek 15:35, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep/Change - Make this a toggleable option, and I'd like to see it. --Remalle 22:19, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep Finally a suggestion so we can tell who spray paints some of the crap up that has no point. Thumbs up on this one.--Major Striker 02:15, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep -I would personally like much more to be noticeable (though 'cades and such would have to be the "options" on/off thing...) and this is a step in the right direction. --AlexanderRM 17:49, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Seems logical. --Sonofagun18 06:50, 25 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep I always hate it when people write over stuff. --Coco1993 01:59, 27 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep Author's vote. --Conster 12:18, 1 July 2007 (BST)
- Keep/change It'd have to be filterable. Padfu-Zomfu 05:38, 4 July 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - I think this should stay anonymous. --Uncle Bill 18:17, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Anonymity is one of the beauties of graffiti — nobody knows who sprayed that Goatse over an important message (hey, I might do that...) --Anotherpongo 18:54, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Anonymity! - For the secrets! --KamdenM|W|T|H 23:03, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Secrecy! - For the anonymity! --Toejam 23:14, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Though it makes complete sense, I have to vote kill. If this gets implemented, then everyone will know it's me thats spraying Ghetto Cow pickup lines in German over their important "Dont' combat revive" tags.--Suicidal Angel Kitten Huffing ? 00:30, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As scuicidalangel so beautifily stated it. --wooty 24:54, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Do we really want greifers targeting LEGIT revive-point signs spraypainters? I really don't like "Graffti Killing Lists".--ShadowScope 07:05, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Ditto. I like the idea, but if you get seen, then sooner or later we'll have self-appointed "anti-vandals" who make sure that only their own approved messages stay around. And personally, I like a bit of spice in my life rather than just "revives 1E". Kalir FTW! Z/S UD Potato Words 07:07, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - For the anonymity and secrecy!--KiT 19:23, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Not every action is noticed by survivors. They don't notice a GKer damaging the Generator, only destroying it. They don't noticed who reduced the EHB barricade to loosely (though they notice who removed the very last piece). However, it is possible to notice who does those things if you are logged in at the same time and notice the room description change - whoever is last on the survivor list is your culprit. Same goes for Tagging. I'd have to see the introduction of survivors noticing more about the barricades before I could ever vote keep on this. armareum 02:11, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Bounty hunters have enough "griefers" to hunt. This is minor stuff -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 09:32, 25 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - as boxy.-- Vista +1 20:01, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - the Crabapples have had their own share of malicious graffitti, but this way you can't do anything without notice! Plus, it is possible to see these things, by seeing changes in status on the character list, or characters moving, so it can sometimes be a thrilling little game in itself trying to figure out who's doing it. --Crabappleslegalteam 03:35, 1 July 2007 (BST)
