20070829 Yell

Medico 21:50, 29 August 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
Survivors

Suggestion description
Due to the fact that survivors only "Speak" to the nearest 50 survivors, I think that users should be able to "Yell" to the whole room for a cost of 2AP

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Author vote

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - whilst the flavour is different, and the mechanics are different enough for it not to be a dupe, this is in Peer Reviewed. I prefer the bullhorn idea myself, as it still costs only 1AP. -- Pavluk 21:58, 29 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Change -Could you also make it so that survivors and zombies can talk longer for more AP? Basically there'd be no text box limit but if you tried to talk it would say something like "saying that will cost X AP. Are you sure you would like do do this? Yes/No". This would apply to everything on there which has a limited text box and costs AP. Yelling would specifically double the AP cost. --AlexanderRM 22:00, 29 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill The 50 person speak to thing was introduced for a reason. Specifically, we nearly killed the game during the great strike. --The Grimch Sysop-U! 01:34, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - dumb --Sonny Corleone RRF DORIS CRF pr0n 01:39, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill This was made for a reason, Check the updates. Back in 2005 they made this because of game lag for players in huge rooms, Also for spam reasons.--Kaynex 03:13, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  6. Kill - Radios.--Karekmaps?! 03:31, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill - I wasn't here in Malton back in in 2005, but I'll take Kaynex's word for it. --Sonofagun18 07:33, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill - I prefer the suggestion where you can pick which 50 people to talk to in a large building (ie 1st 50, 2nd 50, etc)... but also realise that this could be abused by spammers as well, or perhaps cause server lag problems if overused The preceding signed comment was added by boxy (talkcontribs) at 12:24 30 August 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - Don't help spammers. --Saluton 15:34, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  10. kill I can already yell just use caps lock--Johnny Reb 16:24, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  11. kill - the 50 person limit does kinda suck, but it's there for a reason. and there are radios, cell phones and spray cans as workarounds... yet again, kids: survivors don't need a buff -- they need to up the level of their play. --WanYao 19:14, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - As Saluton and WanYao. --Hhal 19:37, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  13. Nope - Me likey bullhorn or intercom. Not yelly. BoboTalkClown 21:01, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  14. Kill - There's a reason that you can only talk to the nearest 50 people. --Themanwhocares4 13:47, 9 September 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Dupe - I'm positive this is a dupe. I just hate looking through the old suggestions to find links. My vote won't count unless somebody else provides a link. --Steakfish 01:31, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Dupe - I'm positive this is a dupe. I just hate looking through the old suggestions to find links. My vote won't count unless somebody else provides a link.-- Vista  +1  12:57, 4 September 2007 (BST)
  3. Dupe of this, and possibly more, but all I could find was this. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 06:27, 9 September 2007 (BST)
  4. Screw it. I'm not giving a reason for the rest of my votes in this spree.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 17:25, 9 September 2007 (BST)
