My suggestion is for a new item, the lighter to be put into the game. When used inside an unruined building it would automaticly allow you to search the building one time with the same bonus as searching a powered building (Because the reason searhing a powered building is easier is because the lights are on). It would only have one use. It would be found in junk yards wastelands and schools at 1%.

  9. Kill - I can tell you from experience that if your eyes are adjusted to the dark, a lighter is a HUGE help in seeing your way around and finding stuff. Kill/Change - I dun know about the rest of you but I used my zippo to get around my house and find stuff when we had a blackout a few years back so yeah it DOES help, and perhaps you can broaden your concept and include candles and flashlights (AKA Torches in Britain) but as has been said, up the chances of finding one and that you only get one search when you enter the place then cap it. " You are enter the XXX building, you (flip open your lighter,) (light your candle,) (turn on your flashlight).   8. Spam - the idea might have a little life in it, but the suggestion is sadly not thought out well. You say the find rate would be 1%. On average, this would mean 100AP - 2 whole day's worth - would need to be spent finding a single lighter. Then, it would only give you one search-rate boost. It would be far more AP efficient not to look for the lighter, and instead find a generator and fuel can, which are both easier to find and will provide a longer search boost.
