[edit] 20070925 Highlight XP When Enough For Level-Up v2.0
Vkkhamul 01:46, 25 September 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
A useful tweak to the interface.
Suggestion scope
All players who have enough XP to level-up.
Suggestion description
Whenever a player reaches 100 XP, the XP will be highlighted and linked to the "Buy Skills" page, which will help remind them to level up!
Players who already have all of the skills are not affected by this. It is also toggleable in the Settings. Depending on the class, scientific skills may cost more than military skills, and vice versa, it can be highlighted green (75), yellow (100), and red (150). (Thanks to Doc Crook for this idea.)
Why, you ask? Well, many players, such as myself, are so intent on killing that one zombie/survivor that they forget that they have enough experience to purchase a skill!
(Yes, Shartak has this same feature, and I find it useful. I would like to thank everyone on the Talk page who has helped me to revise this suggestion!)

- Keep - I see no harm in it. I probably won't use it, but it seems to have fixed the issues in the last version and some ppl will like it. --Pgunn 16:28, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- I like it Jonny12 talk 20:33, 25 September 2007 (BST)
Keep Harmless, togglable...why not?- unsigned vote struck: remove the strike when you sign it properly --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 03:34, 28 September 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Sure. --Themanwhocares4 22:27, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Keep Why not, Toggling should be getting MORE votes... --Kaynex 23:09, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Keep Fine. I don't know why the killers below are too lazy to toggle crap. Glenstone 06:10, 26 September 2007 (BST)
- Ew - Those are some of the dumbest kill votes I have ever seen. I was a newbie not so long ago, and it think it's a great improvement, and not annoying at all. Having it toggleable is a stoke of genius, and some people below were Caught Not Reading a Suggestion. Having it toggleable makes it so much less annoying. BoboTalkClown 20:36, 27 September 2007 (BST)
- Yes -But it HAS to be toggeleable. It might also do to change the colors, since red AP and (I think) XP means very low, but I didn't think that was important enough for even an improper keep/change. Also, Howard Bentley, this is supposed to be a reminder that you have enough XP, not tell you how much XP you need. Duh. We need some way to filter out the stupid votes, most of that was "I just don't like it" or "I won't/wouldn't need it, so no" or something that obviously indicates they didn't read the suggestion. --AlexanderRM 22:52, 27 September 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Because some people want it and the others can simply toggle it off. Simple. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 03:32, 28 September 2007 (BST)
- Keep Would like to see this, particularly for newer players ZEDU medic T MEMS 11:50, 8 October 2007

Kill Votes
- Kill - Just don't like it.--Karekmaps?! 01:53, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Wow.. what an inane vote! There obviously is no justification to it. --Vkkhamul 01:58, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- 73h Ki113rz Seems pointless even runescape noobs aint that dumb nice ya thinkin bout teh noobs tho.Vkkhamul if you get that angry over that just wait till grimich gets here... Sockem 02:01, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- LOL, what do I have to be mad about? Sure, you might be indirectly calling me dumb, but it's nothing.--Vkkhamul 02:46, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- If you have to add a toggle, seems rather pointless.--Pesatyel 02:35, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- But it really depends on your preference whether you want it or not, yes? I'm sure you appreciate freedom of choice.--Vkkhamul 02:41, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill As Karek.--Wooty 03:40, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As Wooty. -- John RubinT! ZG
07:22, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill Surely this may confuse military/science people who have to pay more or less than 100XP for different skills?--Seventythree 08:40, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- RE Dude, It sais green for 75, Yellow for 100, And red for 150. Read it, And I bet it woulden't anyway.
- Kill - Useless information - and the game shouldn't help prevent you from being stupid. If you want it that much, implement it as a client-side script. --Saluton 14:42, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- L2think - If you can't remember to level @ 100XP in a game, how do you function in Real Life? This is pointless - don't be lazy, don't get caught up in the moment... think --Ryiis 16:56, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Silly and unnecessary. --Druuuuu 20:09, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As above, messes you up for non-civilian/zombie classes. Personally, I often ignore the immediate level ups so I can save in case I decide I need a skill or I'm turned into a zombie. Also, why bother making a change to the game for something so minor? --Ballz 20:17, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As Karek. --WanYao 00:13, 26 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - harmless and thoughtful suggestion, however I recall being a noob and watching my XP very closely and planning every move to max out AP/XP use/gain. Didn't need this then, and don't need it now. --Shazzelim 15:43, 26 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Rather pointless, things like EXP needed for skills are the reason the wiki exists. If they don't use the wiki, they can still figure it out by going to Buy Skills and if it's in grey, they can't get it. --Howard Bentley 01:34, 27 September 2007 (BST)
- No. There are some people who save up about 1000 to buy skills from the other side's skill tree. --Axe Hack is Against the New Facebook 23:13, 27 September 2007 (BST)
- It's TOGGLEABLE. Read the damn suggestion. --Vkkhamul 23:54, 28 September 2007 (BST)
- Pointless. I'll have you a greasemonkey that does the same thing before the night is through. Other than the fact that I'll have duplicated the result soon, it isn't that good. You Snooze, you Loose... ~A`Blue`JellyTME*V*I*L*? 04:35, 28 September 2007 (BST)
