20071010 Ruins on Stats Page

Steakfish 02:41, 10 October 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type: Usefull new info for the stats page

Suggestion scope: Suggesters, Kevan, anybody else that uses the stats page

Suggestion description

I think the Stats page is a usefull tool for suggesters and for Kevan himself. It could be made more usefull, though, with a few more pieces of information. I would specifically like to see the following things: the total number of building squares (each square of large buildings should be counted individually), the percentage of squares that are Ruined, the percentage of squares that are Ransacked, and the percentage at normal status. This new info might help cut down on OMGWTFBBQNERFZEDS! suggestions, and would probably help Kevan decide when to tweak find rates and whatnot. I realize that there are more things that might be usefull to have on the Stats page, but in the interest of keeping things simple, I'm limiting my suggestion to what I listed above. If there's something else you'd like to see, you can make your own suggestion. --Steakfish 02:41, 10 October 2007 (BST)

Small change: Right next to the total number of building squares, the page should clearly state something along the lines of "In the case of large buildings, each block is counted individually." Just a little extra clarity. --Steakfish 14:28, 10 October 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

change - Remove total number of buildings because that would/could just cause confusion(multi-block complexes.)--Karekmaps?! 04:56, 10 October 2007 (BST) Changed Vote.--Karekmaps?! 08:49, 10 October 2007 (BST)
RE: - It's the total number of building SQUARES, not the total number of buildings. Each block of a mall or other multi-block building would be counted individually (the stats page could even state this right next to the number, to eliminate confusion)... didn't I already say that in the suggestion? --Steakfish 05:55, 10 October 2007 (BST)
Yes, but you didn't say anything about saying it on the stats page which is something that makes me change my vote.--Karekmaps?! 08:49, 10 October 2007 (BST)
  1. Kill - 99% of all statistics suck. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 08:59, 10 October 2007 (BST)
OMG, stupidest Kill vote I've ever seen xD --Vkkhamul 01:14, 16 October 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - More ammunition to spin doctor information --Ryiis 22:21, 10 October 2007 (BST)
  3. ...what would the stat mean? How many buildings are free-runnable? How many buildings are currently damaged? Spin doctors will love this.--ShadowScope 17:35, 15 October 2007 (BST)
RE: By that logic, the Stats page shouldn't exist at all. Information is neither good nor evil. It's how you choose to use it (and how you call bullshit on those that misuse it) that matters.
