20080307 No Accidents Since
Anime Sucks

Suggestion type
Flavor Improvement
Suggestion scope
All players via profile add-on
Suggestion description
This suggestion is quite simple, to add an additional box, or replace the "number of times died" box while alive with a "how long this survivor has been alive" box or something to that effect. The tally could be monitored in days. Such as "Less than a Day, 1 Day, 2 days.." ect...
I just think it would be interesting to see if we can implement a feature inside the profile to tell the viewer just how long a character has been alive (without idling out of course, as I think that should reset the time to zero), and would add flavor to the game without affecting mechanics gameplay.
Thanks for giving this your consideration. :)

- Keep/Change - Why not both? The number of deaths AND the longest living streak (without idling out) that a character's undergone. --Private Mark 03:06, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- It may have been vague, but I did intend to still have the number of deaths remain, it just shows one while you are alive, and other while you are dead or zombied--

- Keep - Yes! I think this is a fun idea. --Fifth Element 04:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Sounds like a fun meter. Maybe also have a "longest period without dying" score too, so your longest streak is saved. And idling out shouldn't set you to 0, just don't count that time. --Jon Pyre 05:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - I like this idea, it would be cool to see how long people have survived.--Jamie Cantwell3 05:59, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill/Change - No target for my back, please. Keep the information secret and you've got a deal. - Keep - I like it, adds a new type of competitiveness. Realism could be based on freshness of wounds or scars or some sort of post-revivification symptoms (maybe you look greenish for a while after being revived). Also, realism arguments are super weak. Also, since when is a suggestion bad just for helping PK'ers? They're people too. TastyNougat 17:07, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

- Kill - Although I like the idea and prefer to vote Keep, it'd be abused by PKers as another reason to kill someone, the only reason I vote kill. I think they'd especially target newbies with this, from them "living too long", and that makes things worse.--Kolechovski 18:31, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- I can respect that argument, but noted that any self-respecting pker wouldn't target newbies to begin with.--

- You are arguing realism in a game that has name highlighters, homing beacons, pk lists, zerging, how many times a person has died, bringing people back to life, rampant murder, and panda rape? Oh... and we can't forget about the fact this game centers around zombies. Calculating how long someone has lived would be one of the more realistic features of the game. Give me a break Veers.--

The thing I'm worried about is the fact that people who idle out may in fact live the longest. Once you sort that out and make it toggable, I'll Keep it.--ShadowScope 02:00, 10 March 2008 (UTC)- It is mentioned in the suggestion scope that idled out characters time alive would be reset to zero--
