20080402 Suggestion:20080402 Monroeville Changes

•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:04, 2 April 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
Balance sorta-ish change

Suggestion scope
Survivors

Suggestion description
As of now, a Headshot can be used in Monroeville to permanently kill any zombie. But, some players who start as a zombie will never be able to continue playing, in contrast to any survivor who gets killed but can continue playing as a zombie.

To keep this short and to the point, I propose that any survivor who dies with an Infection will be allowed to continue as a zombie, but any survivor who does not die of Infection will be permanently killed.

Keep Votes

  1. I wanted to vote Spam, but this is my own suggestion. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:05, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Meh likey. --~~~~ [talk] 22:07, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep This one actually makes sense to me. In Malton, the zombie virus is something in the air/water/whathaveyou, but Monroeville is much more like the standard zombie genre. You only get to be a zombie if a zombie kills you. Brrrns.... --FrozenFlame 06:31, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Keep sounds ok--Airborne88Zzz1.JPGT|Z.Quiz|PSS 06:43, 3 April 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - I've never personally died from infection, I can see the logic but infection is more of a hinderence than a finisher, it would also prevent people getting revenge when player killed. --Kamikazie-Bunny 21:45, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill, Its hard enough being a zed as it is in Monroeville. More of us headshot everyday, and now you want to stop us replenishing our ranks? Oh man! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:56, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - Its fine as it is, dont screw with it any more. --Pvt human 23:32, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Kill - yeah, Romero has people dying from any cause becoming a zombie... and Pennsylvanians suck anyway.(not sure what that has to do with anything, just thought I'd mention it.)--KF 23:33, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  5. Kill As Kamikazie-Bunny --FXI 00:07, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill -How are the Zeds supposed to increase their numbers? --Heretic144 00:21, 3 April 2008 (BST)
    By my estimate, most zeds should have Infection by now. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:25, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - I dunno, seems off to me. I never saw Diary of the Dead, but was this the case there? --Vandurn 00:26, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  8. Change- I'd vote keep if it was zombiefication for people who died while infected (ie infected bite followed by mauling/pking/defenestration)--Studoku W! 01:51, 3 April 2008 (BST)
    Uh...That is exactly what this suggestion does...Now I'm thinking I worded this suggestion as if I was the Riddler or something... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:15, 4 April 2008 (BST)
  9. Kill - No the zeds need more numbers! Also how the hell can you get back at your PKer if this was put in?--Jamie Cantwel3 06:05, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Kill - Punishing survivors does not increase fairness for zombies. --Ms.Panes 06:07, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - Fewer zombie meatshields = bad idea. - W 07:23, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - Actually...... Romero changed his tune part way through the series. At first, everyone rose... later, only those infected rose... But, that's irrelevant. This sort of screws everyone... it screws survivors who die... and it screws zombies from getting recruits. In other words this suggestion makes it less fun. --WanYao 09:36, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - No thank you. Why not just elimimnate zombies? --UCFSD 13:19, 3 April 2008 (BST)
    Like I would make this into a Humorous suggestion. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:15, 4 April 2008 (BST)
  14. Kill - It's more in line with the Romero canon, but it isn't very fun. --ZsL 15:20, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  15. Kill I don't like eliminating people permanently from monroeville before they have time to explore. --Jon Pyre 16:55, 3 April 2008 (BST)
Tell that to all the low level zombies who signed up just a few minutes before the city was closed and got Headshoted in a few days. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:15, 4 April 2008 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Makes no sense. In every Romero movie, when the person dies, they become a zombie. Not 'when the person dies by zombie bite'. ANY death should cause zombification, you can't pick and choose, especially since Monroeville is based directly on the new Diary of the Dead Romero movie. That should mean Monroeville should subscribe very strictly to 'Romero Rules'. I would have voted kill, but you wanted to vote spam and couldn't, so I'm doing this to make you happy. Happy? :) --Tselita 21:40, 2 April 2008 (BST)
    I was saying that as a joke...And no...I accept your reasoning. I'm not gonna try and convince you...Cookie? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:44, 2 April 2008 (BST)
Gimme my cookie. --Tselita 17:27, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Spam - Awful. This is not a solution for the problem it describes. Sure, zombies have infection, but what survivor doesn't have an FAK? Zombies in Monroeville need more zombies to work with, not fewer. If you think it's unfair that survivors have essentially an extra life, then why not give zombies a second life, too? - Grant (talk) 00:29, 3 April 2008 (BST)
Well, I was thinking either this or allow NecroTech to set up camp in a random building, with the selected building being different every week. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:35, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  3. GEORGE ROMERO - As Tselita. --Hhal 02:10, 3 April 2008 (BST)
    Are you saying you want a cookie, too? 'Cause I think that's what Tselita meant... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:15, 4 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Spam - As the author, only since it's not my suggestion I don't have to feel guilty about it. That, and it seems a little late to be changing the rules now. --Uncle Bill 03:02, 3 April 2008 (BST)
