20080402 Wasteland Change V.3

Zach016 02:33, 2 April 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
Land Change

Suggestion scope
All Players In Malton

Suggestion description
Changes from previvous have been bolded and placed at the bottom.

This is for Malton only, not Monroeville

  • Two randomly selected Wastelands from each suburb, would be changed to be called a "Destroyed Building"
  • These Buildings would have a descrition as: "A Building that nearly burned to the ground during the initial chaos at the beginning of the outbreak. The remains of the walls are enough to keep you out of sight"
  • Whenever a survivor or zombie resides in one of these buildings, they will not show up on any other users view, unless that user is in that same building
  • Any user in one of these buildings cannot see the other players that reside behond that destroyed building
  • These buildings are not barricadable, ruinable, searchable, and you enter them just by moving onto its block.
  • You cannot free run from one of these new buildings.
  • Feeding Groans can be heard from inside
  • To help deal with some of the ninga concerns of previvous versions, if there are more then 10 zombies/survivors inside one of these new buildings, the number of zombies/survivors minus the initial 10 will be displayed as normal.

Keep Votes

  1. Author - Now its still realistic, and large zombie groups can't hide inside, one of the main problems of the last, while lower numbers recieve the benefit.--Zach016 02:35, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep I Guess - I guess it makes sense, as long as there wouldn't be -huge- hordes hiding out in them utterly undetected. Wow this is the first time I've voted on something that wasn't my own suggestion, btw. --Tselita 03:46, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep-ish - Just have them work exactly like the woods squares in Monroeville.  Swiers 03:55, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Keep - Sure. Other versions were fine too. --Pgunn 04:08, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  5. Keep - Cool, although I'd go with 5 at least. 2 per, nevermind. -- AHLGTH 04:10, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  6. Keep As above Darth LumisT! A! E! SR 04:28, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Keep I didn't see the problem with version 2, anyway. User:Jordan Salafack » JS talk contribs » 04:44, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  8. Keep Fixed the one concern I had. --Shigogouhou 04:56, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  9. Keep - Still like it.--Jamie Cantwel3 05:06, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Keep - Or an earlier version- they're all fine.--Studoku W! 20:53, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Keep - I've voted on this before, would make the game more interesting.--KF 23:39, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Keep - As the last two times. --FXI 00:12, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  13. Keep - Eventually this will pass muster. --Heretic144 00:20, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  14. Keep - As previously. --Viktor Suvorov(talk)   fsck zergs   02:06, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  15. Keep - Good tweeks, but still awesome idea. --FrozenFlame 06:34, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  16. Keep - Less desirable, but I don't mind. ~AriedartinTalkA KS J abt all 17:04, 4 April 2008 (BST)
  17. Keep - Good idea for zombies and survivors alike but decrease the amount of people who you can't see from 10 to 5 and it will be perfect. --And25 13:18, 5 April 2008 (BST)
  18. Keep - I like it. --Howard Bentley 04:08, 8 April 2008 (BST)
  19. Keep - Yes. --Private Mark 04:23, 8 April 2008 (BST)
  20. Weak Keep - Eh, I'm still not sure how this would show up on the map. What I'd be more supportive of is if you actually changed them into woods completely (just like Monroeville). I'd be much more willing to accept that as part of the map than buildings so badly dilapidated, especially when many others are still standing around them.--Kolechovski 05:20, 9 April 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Third time is not a charm. As sweirs said, if you must have this, make it like Woods in Monroeville... But... I want Woods to stay in MV... along with permadeath... Unless... I might be willing to accept a few Woodsy blocks -- for the whole city, very few, here and there. 2 per suburb is absurdly too many and actually game breaking. --WanYao 04:15, 2 April 2008 (BST)
Dude, yeah, but why would there be a single block of woods in the middle of the city? Then it would just be a park. If you want the same effect as in woods in MV, you'd have to have it be a different building in Malton. User:Jordan Salafack » JS talk contribs » 04:44, 2 April 2008 (BST)
Are you illiterate or something? Read what I wrote. There are words there, and when you string together they have meaning. In this context, your comment is, basically, irrelevant. NEEEXT.... --WanYao 07:46, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - Destroy this, sounds odd, and I just can't support it. -- Rogue  Sergeant Image:Sarge1.png 04:50, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill -Sorry with RogueSargeant--Airborne88T|Z.Quiz|PSS 06:05, 2 April 2008 (BST) on this one
  4. Kill - Sorry man, I still dont like this suggestion. I just dont think other players should be hidden from view outside on the streets.--Dr Doom86 T PSS 06:43, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  5. Kill - Kindof silly...--MichaelReadTalk BBK! ALiM 07:49, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill - This is still awful and stupid. It contridicts years of gameplay. What, they're suddenly accessible? They need to tie it in with a reasonable excuse. "Uh, you couldn't see them" is not reasonable. --Vandurn 13:55, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - As Vandurn and Dr Doom86. -- The Lethal Trio [Tlk|NTCS|RRF] U! E! 18:16, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  8. kill - please do not make a version four --Scotw 19:47, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  9. kill - I liked version two better. With the whole not seeing people in the square at all, no matter how many were there thing. --Ms.Panes 05:45, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Kill - As Ms.Panes. I'd like to see version 2 in a new map, but not in Malton. --Explodey 18:09, 3 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - Sounds like Monroeville woods. And I hate those woods.--Luke Skywalker 14:14, 5 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - As Ms.Panes.--Carnexhat 14:21, 5 April 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - Woods work in Monroeville because there are a large number of those squares near one another. It'd just be an annoying gimmick in Malton which has no open areas. I liked the version of this without the "ninja limit" better but it's really not needed in the game either way. --Riseabove 21:17, 5 April 2008 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - Third time's not the charm. you're description above is basicly that of a ruined building, that can only hold ten bodies. Here's some search results fromgoogle images. Wastelands in UD require imagination, not change. -- Jack S13 T! PC 15:44, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  2. I am on a voting spree, so to make this vote valid, I agree with everyone above. --Axe Hack is Against the New Facebook 20:51, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Spam - same reasons as all the other times I've voted on this - tempted to vote Dupe to be honest as there's hardly much diff twixt this and the previous versions - all much of a muchness. If you don't like that, then "As Axe Hack, after Jack". --Funt Solo QT 23:58, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Spam - As above. Someone copy this vote over to the inevitable V4.0. -- St. Iscariot GC PK WTE 19:36, 15 April 2008 (BST)
