20080618 Infection Mutation

Yoshi2501 02:35, 18 June 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
High-lvl Zombie Skill mutation.

Suggestion scope
Applies to high-lvl zombies and their infected-biting attacks on survivors.

Suggestion description
When a high lvl zombie (say, the max 42) bites a survivor, the survivor can only cure the infection inside a powered-up hospital (and maybe even only by a comrade/medic, and not by himself). Or, having to apply a much higher dose of medikits for cure. Or, only survivors with the Surgery Skill can cure themselves and others (outside of a powered-up hospital). Do the math.

In any way, something has to happen with high-lvl zombie attacks - it seems to me that nothing changes since lvl 20, and something has got to change for better playability. Survivors have the Headshot skill - and the eternally undead scenario for zombies isn't working well. The brain-rot thing? Who needs it? We need OFFENSIVE.

This came to me when i realized the biting thing is very powerful, but the odds are bad. So nobody uses it. I started trying to bite people only after i grabbed them, which increases these stats. Then i thought, "hey, i'm a lvl 42 zombie. can't my bites get any better than just one medikit-super-cure?". Otherwise what's the zombie reason for reaching max lvl?

Keep Votes

  1. Keep/Change - I like it and it would make the game harder and more fun to play, but I need more info on this to give you a full keep.--Jamie Cantwel3 TalkAll glory to the Hypnotoad! 07:10, 18 June 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep/Change - Would make sense as an extension of the infectiouis bite skill that, like headshot, also requires the character to be of a certain level. Only curuable by someone with first aid (possibly yourself) in a hospital. Don't like the name thougth. In the state I have described, I don't think it is over-powered. Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Seems like a death sentence, essentially. - Fred Fredfredson 04:28, 18 June 2008 (BST)
  2. Overpowered-Infection needs an upgrade, but this overdoes it.--Pesatyel 06:09, 18 June 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - Infection does need an upgrade but this overpowered and makes no sense as to how it works. --Kamikazie-Bunny 13:09, 18 June 2008 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - Not a horrible suggestion, but it is a super buff to zombies, which is unnecessary. Also, it virtually guarantees that any survivor caught in a suburb under attack by a horde or any survivor stuck in a suburb with no hospitals will die. Infectious bite needs a buff, you are right, but this is not it. Also, I think this might be a dupe and don't forget to vote for your own suggestion.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  04:27, 18 June 2008 (BST)
  2. Spam - No specific numbers given, multiple options left open. Also, basing this off level is a bad idea. What about zombie players ho buy brain rot at level 2 and never buy a single survivor skill? Are they somehow "less zombie" than a level 42 zombie? (And yes, I've done this- it actually works quite well). SIM Core Map.png Swiers 04:53, 18 June 2008 (BST)
