20080731 Suggestion 20080731 Shiny Items

Shooty08 18:06, 31 July 2008 (BST)

Suggestion Type
Gameplay modification

Suggestion scope
Full game, only Lv 10's or higher

Suggestion description
This gameplay change would add a new skill for both humans and zombies. For humans it would be "The hero" or some such, and for the zombies it would be something negative because no one likes the zombies. This skill would give the players a low odds chance of finding a "shiny item" while wandering monroeville. It would show up as something that happened since your last turn, and only when moving from one square to another, and would be incredibly rare, perhaps 1:5000000 odds. As implied, shiny iems are special. They do 10 points more damage than their non-shiny counter-parts, but are 15% less accurate. The rarest of all shiny items would be the shiny newspaper, as no one prints news on shiny paper, and it does 10 points of damage 85% of the time. Objects not used as weapons, such as radios, would broadcast on all frequencies, and flaks would give you temporary invulnerability (maybe two/three days?). shiny gas cans would never run out of gas, shiny generators would not take damage, but could be picked up and moved by the user who placed it.
