20080826 Doctor's Clinic

Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 22:26, 26 August 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
Skill.

Suggestion scope
Survivors/Harmanz

Suggestion description
Adds a skill called Clinic Runner.

Allows survivors the ability to heal people in hospitals for 1AP less, by allowing them to use the medical supplies right off the shelf, instead of having to first pack everything into a FAK, then having to use that FAK on a person.

Think of it as using the found FAK the moment you find it.

Success rates are the same as finding a FAK in that hospital.

Does not work if the hospital is ruined or ransacked.

Keep Votes

  1. GKR #8 --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 22:28, 26 August 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep/change - I understand what your talking about but add what kind of things you can find individually, Like a band-aid 2% to find and heals 1HP, that kind of stuff.--Truezombieboy 03:55, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep - I see what you're trying to say here, and it makes sense, not having to gather together all the supplies before you can use the FAK, so you get a weak keep from me -- Necrodeus T M! 21:07, 27 August 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - how's this going to work - is it going to say "you tried to heal Bob but found a newspaper instead". Or is it that you already find the FAK, then try to use it but only have a % chance of success? Seems like a lot of confusion to go through for not much in the way of payback. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 22:32, 26 August 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - First of all, this is confusing as hell in the way you worded it, at least to me, but I think I figured out what you're saying. Second of all, you would need to implement a percentage system to this skill that is the same as search rates percentages. I think that what you're saying is that you want to eliminate spending the extra AP, right?. Well, without the percentage figures, humans gain an EXTREME advantage over zombies, especially during a large war. Because all a human group would need to do is get a powered hospital under control and get even one guy with this skill working in there and healing large groups will take fewer people than ever before... Or alternate scenario is it will just go to waste and be 100 XP less that you have.--SirArgo Talk 23:07, 26 August 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - Survivors don't need this, they survive pretty well as it is. Also, there aren't neatly organised shelves in the hospitals - which is why when you find a FAK there, the flavour text implies you cobble the components together from the various places they're strewn. --Bob Fortune RR 23:54, 26 August 2008 (BST)
  4. Kill - I don't see how this is necessary, or adds anything to the gameplay. Techercizer (Food) (TSoE) 00:44, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  5. Kill - Unnecessary survivor buff.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  01:20, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill - So in other words you could just freely heal a survivor? That's out of genre and place.--Janine 01:44, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - Everyone else nailed it. Plus, can't you word it any better? --JaredTalk W! P! 02:02, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  8. "Oh god, the pain! Good thing I'm in a hospital. I found a knife! I'll heal myself with that! AHHH!!! It hurts even more!!!" Yea...Everyone above pretty much nailed it... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:56, 27 August 2008 (BST)

  10. Kill - Still waiting for the skill named "Create Useful Suggestions". --Aeon17x 04:46, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - I maintain that Blake is not interested in making useful suggestions. He's the wiki equivalent of the Monty Python cheese shop owner, just here to waste our time. In any event, as Funt Solo and others.--Jiangyingzi 07:46, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - So i can heal people for free? Awesome! (/sarcasm.) Linkthewindow 11:24, 27 August 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - Because it's incomplete and a mishmash of various thoughts without any clear direction. Nice idea but not worked through to completion. -- Cheese 17:26, 27 August 2008 (BST)

  18. kill whats the point? Stock up on FAKS BEFORE you go out to heal people. imagine this in a hospital siege: aslong as everyone has AP they can't die! Janjakko 7:01 EST 28 AUG 2008
  19. Kill - Not really needed, overcomplicated for the returned bonus. --BoboTalkClown 02:39, 30 August 2008 (BST)
  20. Kill - I get what you are trying to say, but there are too many variables to consider. LemonHead7t7 *̡͌l̡*̡̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡̡|͡|̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲▫̲͡ ̲̲̲͡͡π̲̲͡͡ ̲̲͡▫̲̲͡͡ ̲|]]| ̡̡̡ ̡ ̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡*̡͌l̡* Talk/PDA/Red Rum/MOB 22:13, 1 September 2008 (BST)
  21. Kill - I have to kill this only because there is a perk in place to heal in hospitals. Its not a bad idea, regardless of what the pro-Z/ traitors to humanity say, merely, there is already such a perk/skill to healing. But, he did state the percentage of success were the same as finding a FAK. gabdewulf 16:18, 5 September 2008 (BST)
