20090627 boom, headshot

DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 14:21, 27 June 2009 (BST)

Suggestion type
boom, headshot

Suggestion scope
those pesky vain survivors (plus headshotted zombies)

Suggestion description
Just a small suggestion, I wish to put forward this suggestion where the headpiece sections of clothing in Urban Dead can only get torn/tattered/cracked (for sunnies), if you get Headshotted.

Why? Cause sunnies, nurse's caps and the like deserve to have more longevity on players.

For the more detailed read:

  • Headgear will deteriorate at the same rate as before, except instead of a death triggering the tearing/bloodstaining, a headshot will.
  • As Boxy says on DS, 9/10 deaths for a zombie are headshots anyway, so it doesn't completely restrict clothes tattering, it just restricts it slightly for Zeds, and theoretically half for Harmans, assuming the average Mhr cow gets headshotted at leased once every time they look for a revive. This aim of this suggestion is essentially to aid Survivor vanity a bit, because they are generally the more clothing-oriented faction (we know the Zombies are generally better than that).
  • Other clothing items are unaffected by this and the gameplay otherwise stays the same. Just headgear slot is affected.

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Pointless. A waste of code. Or any of the other similar statements used to shoot down flavor suggestions on DevSug just because they don't appeal to survivor vanity. A little consistency, people? What happened to "the status quo rules"? Whatever.--Necrofeelinya 23:42, 29 June 2009 (BST)
