20090728 Brick on a chain weapon

Alex McEnzy, 08:06, 28 July 2009

Brick on a chain weapon

Applies to: Everyone

This weapon is manufacturable in factories, powered or not, by fusing a brick to a chain using tools found in said factory. Bricks can be found anywhere, for 100%, but the game asks you if you want to pry one out of the wall (costing extra 1 AP). Chains can be found in malls hardware stores (5%) or warehouses (1%) to be taken out of 1 largely useless item found in these places, like newspapers or spray cans. It has a 5% encuberance.

The hits are divided into, 4% miss, 70% hit with chain for 3 damage ( You miss but got the chain to hit the target), 20% hit to torso with brick for 4 damage ( You sucessfuly hit the target), 5% hit head with brick for 5 damage ( Whether by luck or skill, you managed to hit the head a stunning blow), this would knock the target down and either costs 1 or 0 AP to get up depending on the ankle grab skill, and a 1% chance that the brick will shatter, which , I hope, isn't a big deal as you probably will have at least 2.

This requires a successful roll of 20% hit without the skill Chain weapons proficiency. With it however, you gain a 15% bonus to hit and requires either Hand To Hand Combat (while alive) or Memories of life (while undead). It doesn't cross over, you need to purchase it both times. It also costs 1 AP to pull in, 0 if the Chain weapons proficiency skill is purchased whick balances the fact that it is very accurate and powerful.

Chain weapons proficiency requires 100 Xp for all classes except for zombies, who need 200 Xp because it needs higher brain function, but brain rot doesn't affect it as that doesn't affect higher function, it just corrodes necessary parts of the brain that control things such as a natural bio-rhythm, which, for those numbskulls out there, means that it doesn't breath or have a pulse.

It is always on and uses up 1 AP (Duh!).

It also won't have an effect against barricades. Thrower: ( You throw the brick and it glances off, not doing anything but alerting those inside to your presence) Those inside: ( You hear a banging outside that sounds of a brick smashing into the barricades)
