20090803 Electrician

--Justinbronze 04:57, 3 August 2009 (BST)

Suggestion type
Survivor Class

Suggestion scope
Survivors

Suggestion description
An Electrician starts out with a length of pipe, and a toolbox, of which you could expect a repairman to have. Electrician would go under civilian, and would start out with the Construction skill. They could get Civilian skills for 50, but then get all other skills for 150, excluding zombie skills, and the character starts out in a Pub. The beginning flavour/character background text would say: You were an electrician for (insert name of Power Station here). You were called out to fix The_____Arms when the outbreak happened. You were told to stay inside the pub and wait for the military to get to your location and evacuate you. They never came, and you have been waiting in The_____Arms long enough. Time to get out and look around.

Keep Votes

  1. Author Keep - I know it is kinda bad, relying on another suggestion to make it in game to work, but the only thing that makes it rely on another suggestion is the skills. The skills could be different, like they start out with Radio Communication or Construction skills, and it would be good to go in-game, and not reliant on the pass of another suggestion. It would be put under scientist, because scientist needs another class and an electrician is a scientists...of sorts.--Justinbronze 18:42, 3 August 2009 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Needs major reworking. User:Armpit_Odor/sig See below

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - Get one suggestion through before suggesting things based upon it. Or work them into a combined suggestion. Especially don't suggest things that "only work if X is passed too." Not to mention, we don't really need a whole second skill to - gasp - unplug things. --Bob Boberton TF / DW Littlemudkipsig.gif 06:34, 3 August 2009 (BST)
  2. Spam - As Bob. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 08:57, 3 August 2009 (BST)
  3. Spam - As above. Linkthewindow  Talk  08:59, 3 August 2009 (BST)
  4. Spam - bad suggestion. --ϑϑ 09:08, 3 August 2009 (BST)
  5. Spam - It would have been better to assume that the other suggestion isn't going to get through and use the alternative you proposed in your Keep vote as the primary idea. Cyberbob  Talk  09:40, 3 August 2009 (BST)
  6. Spam - base your suggestions on current game mechanics, not stuff that you only just thought up, and hardly anyone else likes anyway -- boxy talkteh rulz 09:55 3 August 2009 (BST)
  7. Dupe - See Engineer class, under Peer reviewed User:Armpit_Odor/sig 19:20, 3 August 2009 (BST)
