20091010 Barricades Degrade With Time

GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 15:44, 9 October 2009 (BST)

Suggestion type
Game change.

Suggestion scope
Barricades.

Suggestion description
I would like to suggest that all of these heavily barricaded buildings (all barricaded buildings in fact) degrade with time. It's a bit annoying to continually encounter buildings that are so superiorly barricaded that they cannot be accessed and I can imagine they have been that way for a long time. If we could implement some system where the barricade strength naturally degrades over time, I feel it would improve the realism.

Kill- Barricading is fine the way it is--LAZURMAN IV 15:46, 9 October 2009 (BST) vandal alt vote struck --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 16:02, 9 October 2009 (BST)
Kill - As lazurman, funnily enough. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 16:07, 9 October 2009 (BST)
  1. Kill - Fine as-is. --Bob Boberton TF / DW Littlemudkipsig.gif 16:16, 9 October 2009 (BST)
  2. Kill - If a building is truly abandoned then zombies will eventually tear down the barricades. No need for them to degrade.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 16:24, 9 October 2009 (BST)
  3. Kill - For those survivor groups who maintain barricades, rather than the ones who just take advantage of them, this would pretty much take up all of their AP. I'm not a fan. When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 17:05, 9 October 2009 (BST)
  4. Kill If survivors were spread across malton (and the other cities) evenly, I'd say yes, but as whole suburbs are normally abandoned by survivors, this makes it harder fo those brave cade strafers in abandoned suburbs to stay alive. Welcome to the Wiki Ben, you may want to look at Developing Suggestions where you can work on suggestions before taking them to voting. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 17:43, 9 October 2009 (BST)
  5. Kill If anything, the barricades or doors might rust together or rust shut, if you ask me, becoming more difficult to dislodge from their current level of barricading. Treat it as a tit-for-tat to the ruin duration repair penalty. As for degrading? No. Aichon 06:36, 10 October 2009 (BST)

  5. Dupe - as Iscariot's link. It's even better, as it would require the building to be empty. I'm not against barricade nerfs, but this is a dupe -- boxy talkteh rulz 00:55 10 October 2009 (BST)
  6. Spam - this is a concept suggestion, not a suggestion per se. How much should a barricade degrade over time ? One level every day ? It should degrade from EHD to VHB and stop degrading there ? How to prevent a building' cade from degrading ? But, even you had answered these questions, its a dupe of a very old suggestion. --People's Commissar Hagnat [talk] [wcdz] 05:03, 10 October 2009 (BST)
  7. Incomplete - This line pretty much sums it up. If we could implement some system where the barricade strength naturally degrades over time,...". It would help if you suggestion answered that question BEFORE putting it up for vote.--Pesatyel 05:19, 10 October 2009 (BST)
