Suggestion talk:20071105 Hippo Lagoon
From The Urban Dead Wiki
"Spam - Actually... isn't this suggestion vandalism?? --WanYao 23:31, 5 November 2007 (UTC)" It is? How?--SeventythreeTalk 23:33, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Assuming his coordinates are at the zoo, then no. He wants a Hippo Lagoon in the zoo enclosure.-- AHLGTH 23:36, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
The coordinates I listed are indeed in the zoo. one is beside the Elephant house and the other is the SE corner or the zoo
By the Way, Just how is it Vandalism to request an exhibit or enclosure for an area that it fits into? Loop Ho Tep03:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- They're referring to this being somewhat humorous (it mentions hippo's)... but not to worry, this shouldn't get humored out, it's a legitimate suggestions, just a bit quirky (like other things already in the game). Humorous vandalism goes something like this -- boxy • talk • 05:07 6 November 2007 (BST)
- They're just being asses, it's suggestions tradition, you get asses and idiot who want to be like the asses but don't really know the vote criteria. --Karekmaps?! 13:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- "They're just being asses". Agreed 100%. Plus, it's just plain unfriendly to treat an apparent newcomer like that. Call it useless (opinion is fine), but to accuse him of vandalism without backing it up is just pathetic. There are plenty examples of suggestions that are serious but contain humour, and that are in Peer Reviewed. (Take note of the Lord of the Pies collection, featuring riffs on the upper class brit with changes to stadiums, mansions & cathedrals). For shame, boys. --Funt Solo QT

- Yes, I see how you mean, asthough after lookinc at as many folks on the list as I could in game (profile links) I have yet to find someone with a character as old as mine (2005-9-6)--Loop Ho Tep 19:13, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Everyone should try to add a little humour to their suggestion. It is possible to have a perfectly serious suggestion with a bit of humour in it, or described in a mildly humorous fashion. If certain killjoys had their way, this place would be very dull indeed.--SeventythreeTalk 19:55, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Jesus bleeding fuck. Vandalism? Some people have no sense of humor, I guess. --Steakfish 03:25, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

- I might start taking people to Vandal banning for suggesting things without a possible humerous slant to them, or a vaugely humerous writeup: Reason - making me read all that text without even a chuckle.--SeventythreeTalk 07:43, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Do you think we could push through some policy changes along those lines?
- Complainant: "This is the 10th time this week that Captian Serious has failed to see the funny side, declaring my Zombie Catapult suggestion 'completely ridiculous and tantamount to insulting my dear sweet mama'."

- Ridiculous != humerours. It is a spam criteria.--Karekmaps?! 10:38, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, Funt, I do beleive we should. With luck we should see zombie catapults, leigions of flying purple monkeys, pease puddings, zombie display stunt teams and flying dolphins within a week.--SeventythreeTalk 13:25, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm...I do recall an suggestion involving zombies climbing on each other's shoulders to get past barricades. Can't remember if it was an actual suggestion or just an idea over at Talk. I'm sure that could be polished into a full-blown acrobat troupe in time for them to perform at the grand opening of the zoo's hippo lagoon. --Pavluk A! E! 13:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yup. I even designed a template based on that.--SeventythreeTalk 22:04, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
