Before Voting Kill

The numbers involved seem VERY high. There maybe is a hanful of level 42 characters with the 30K xp needed to purchase a level 70 title (barely) which leaves what, 45K more XP to earn to reach level 100? Well, I won't fault you for being short sighted, but it may be off-putting to newbies. Does solve that "how tp burn extra XP" problem, though. Still, changing the numbers to 1000 would make math easier, and seems cleaner. You could have a title every 15 levels and get the same numbers, or just have 150 levels, and more titles.
What I really don't like is the titles themselves. The Military ones make sense, but the science and civilian ones suck. By the time a civilian would buy a level 30 title, they aren't an "expereinced shopper"- they likely have all the same skills as a military person of the same level! Also, many civilians are police officers or fire fighters, and thus would want similar ranks to military. The science ranks also suck. "Expereiment Conducter" is level 70? At the universities I work at, under paid grad students conduct the experiments, and tenured proffesors ran the show. How about something like actually listing their degrees at lower levels, and stuff like "Department Head" and "Nobel Laureate" for the highest levels?
Also, why have just one option for each level? I think (especially in the civilian area) that having a drop menue that offered a few different titles at each level would be a good thing. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 21:44, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

You guys are just killing me here....I try to respect everyone's wishes, but that just seems a little impossible to do, seeing that one group wants one thing and another group wants another... --AXE HACK TALK χIII 21:50, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Which is why I didn't vote. I'm not against it, but the current form isn't worth voting keep on, IMO. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 03:10, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I don't know, I actually kinda like the high prices, means that the ranks will actually mean something.--Karekmaps?! 04:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
