sticking the reference in in passim is not promotion... it's a factual statement about something that goes on in the game... something that is very in-genre... and is it about a significant -- if minority -- faction of the game, so it deserves a mention. and it does prepare newbies... getting PKed as a newb sucks. because you don't understand its place, you just feel fucked over. and then... for some people, that feeling leads to taking on trenchcoat attitudes... and we all hate that, non?... so why not do a small, and appropriate, thing to deal with it? --WanYao 18:04, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll be honest - I'm mainly against this because so many people on the wiki shout so loudly about their rights as PKers and how they should get some more respect for their perfectly legitimate style of play and how they're so hard done by. After the zombies (who actually have a point some of the time, especially about the early game), PKers are the biggest whiners and bullshitters around - and anything that promotes them is simply feeding the homogenised troll swarm.
