Kill - unless someone explains to me why zombie anonymity is so sacred. (Good, balanced game-play reasons, please.) --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 00:50, 21 June 2008 (BST)

Nerfs brain rotters blocking revive queues by letting every potential revivee see which zombies have and have not got brainrot. Pretty handy when it comes to paying if forward after standing. They don't need to use a DNA extractor, they just go through all the stand up notifications and pick the ones they want to revive. Same if the stand up happens indoors, people know which zombies can be combat revived for absolutely no AP cost when they don't have to DNA extract to get the information. It's basically giving survivor orientated players free information that should be costing everyone in the room 1 AP to get -- boxy talki 03:34 21 June 2008 (BST)
Thanks for the explan. My solution would be to hide the Brain Rot skill in the profile listing from everyone except the user. That makes more sense than making all zombies somehow identical. The anonymity thing has always bothered me, and if the only good reason for it is to hide brain rot, then brain rot being hidden is the solution. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 20:31, 22 June 2008 (BST)
That's just going to be confusing. You'd have to show brain rot when DNA extracting and when a link is given because of an attack, because these are legitimate ways to get that information (finding out if a zombie has brain rot is the main function of DNA scanning other than for XP). It would make it very annoying to have brain rot hidden in some circumstances, but not in others.
And it's not just brain rot that survivors should have to spend an AP to find out about a zombie, it's group affiliation, skill levels, the lot. All this information is very important to make strategic decisions about whether to revive, ZK, or shoot a zombie. Pure survivors who don't want to revive dedicated zombies (no harman skills, or zombie group listed in profile) get the information for free, and it makes ZKing undesirables at revive points ridiculously easy -- boxy talki 08:24 23 June 2008 (BST)
You know what's funny about all of this. Profiles in DNA Extractors, which, I believe, were added to lower accidentally sticking rotters. With the Revivify This Specimen update it's basically just become a massive nerf to zombie anonymity. Funt won't care though, and I doubt anyone dumb enough to act like there's purpose to including profiles in ?rises serves a purpose for hunting zergers will because they weren't clever enough to realize that DNA Extracting has always been better at everything they seem to think this does, even before it linked profiles. Point is, you can't argue with ignorance, and this is a case where they are being purposely ignorant, they don't want to know why there's zombie anonymity it's a false question, they don't care why they just don't like it.--Karekmaps?! 14:22, 23 June 2008 (BST)
