Contacts Top Of Healing Menu

Timestamp: Cap'n Silly T/W/P/CAussieflag.JPG 06:41, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Type: Interface change
Scope: People who don't want to scroll down 1000 names to heal someone.
Description: Today at Whippey, I saw a contact on low health. I tried to heal them, but had to dig through 200 trenchcoater names first. What I'm suggesting is that contacts are put at the top of the "use medkit on" drop down menu, saving people an annoying search for one name.

  1. Keep This is probably a dupe of something, :P --Cap'n Silly T/W/P/CAussieflag.JPG 06:41, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  2. Keep well, since I'm that contact, i cant say no to this-- Che -T GC X 08:29, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  3. Keep - Although you can search the list by typing in the first few letters of the name you're after (at least on my browser) -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 11:26, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  4. Keep - Yes, it may be a dupe, but meh... --Abi79 AB 11:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  5. Keep - I like this. :D -- Dance Emot.gifTheDavibob LLLDance Emot.gif 11:29, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  6. Yes! Put them in alphabet order as well. You might not know how many of your contacts are in the same place. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 12:59, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  7. Keep I like the idea... but probably better off in Alphbetical order but with contacts highlighted in the colour you chose from your contact list so they stand out.. but still nice idea. --Matt 15:30, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  8. Keep - Sure, sounds fine. --ZombieSlay3rSig.png 16:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  9. Keep - I don't see why not. -Nibiletz 18:54, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  10. Keep athough useing the keyboard if just as easy like funt said i guess this is a good change if your in a smaller highly coordinated group and have the wwhole group on your conttacts. --Mazu 00:31, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
  11. Would help a bit... -Certified=InsaneQuébécois 04:08, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
  12. Keep - This would be nice to have, especially like you said when you have to dig through about 200 names to find them. --Darkvengance 19:12, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
  13. Keep - This is a lazy survivors dream, and I am a lazy survivor. --Doc Garden 05:29, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - alphabetical makes more sense (and should be easy to code). By the way, when you've activated the drop-down list, you can just type in the first letter of the name of the person you're looking for - it'll take you straight to the first match it finds - repeatedly hitting the letter you're after will cycle through them in the list. Dead easy. --Funt Solo Scotland flag.JPG 14:35, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  2. Kill - As per Funt Solo. --Saluton 17:04, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  3. Kill - I rather prefer the whole "who got here last?" system. Why not just colour contacts instead? --Jay Clarke 17:14, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  4. Kill - I like the way it is now. I do agree with Jay Clarke though, contacts should be color coded, but I'm not sure how to set the text color in a drop down list without creating a custom control. --Gm0n3y 18:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Re - Interesting thing: There's a suggestion right now about colour-coding contacts in the drop-downs, including an example of a site using it. --Jay Clarke 11:43, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
  5. Kill - I was gonna vote keep but I would rather have Funt's and Jay's changes. --Deras 21:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  6. Kill - I ain't always gona heal my buddies now, am I?--Ducis DuxSlothTalk 22:48, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  7. Kill - I like the way it is now so you can kind of tell who has not moved in a long time and who just walked in. --genie in a bottle - zone 06:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Look Outside

Timestamp: Preasure 20:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Type: New feature
Scope: Survivors in tall buildings
Description: With the use of binoculars, survivors can look out from tall buildings to see who is outside adjacent ones. However, they can't look out directly ont the building they're standing on, even though it is clearly tall enough to see in other direction.

'Look outside' would be a 1AP action avaliable to all survivors in tall buildings (those that binoculars can be used from). when used, the player would see a brief overview of who is outside, as with binoculars. (X zombies, X survivors) By looking outside, survivors would better be able to make descisions about barricading of the building, and what they could do with their AP.

  1. Kill- No x-ray vision.--Grigori 20:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Re - So what are binoculars then? --Preasure 20:56, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  1. Kill - I think you've missed the point - binoculars can't see outside the building you're in precisely so that they wouldn't be guilty of X-Ray Vision. Tis a game balancing device. Do not fuck with it. It would be rude. --Funt Solo Scotland flag.JPG 21:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  2. Kill - As Funt, but less fucky :P --Deras 21:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  3. Kill - As Funt. I could get into the logical reasons as to why this wouldn't work, but that would require me to get into my explanation for why survivors can't shoot zombies from the rooftop and how free running can logically make sense (most of the theories out there have huge holes in them). You don't want to hear all that, do you? --Reaper with no name TJ! 22:31, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  4. Kill - Yeah, don't screw with the current game mechanics unless you have a very good reason. This, my friend, is one that is not. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 22:50, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
  5. Kill - It is almost just as easy to leave the building and look outside for yourself. --ZombieSlay3rSig.png 00:47, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
  6. Kill - Study the background purpose of something before you propose to change it. Because you didn't you got lectured by Funt. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 02:09, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
