Increase Ransack

Timestamp: 02:49, 3 July 2006 (BST)
Type: Improvement.
Scope: Improves Ransack.
Description: While playing Urban Dead I noticed something, how would it take 1 AP to fix a totally ruined building that was ransacked? This is why I say that Repairing a ransacked building should be increased to 2 AP. Simple.

Votes

  1. Keep - Author Vote, people can handle 2 AP, besides, its more realistic. -Canuhearmenow 02:49, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  2. Keep - that's fine--Sig.PNGtalk 02:53, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  3. Keep - I prefer the one above. In fact, I would have preffered that you would have bloody waited till the 85% same thing suggestion above had at least one day of voting on it but this is good enough. --McArrowni 02:55, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  4. Kill - Under terms of realistic behaviour of the game, i wuold vote "keep", but as the last changes for the game powered quite a bit the ransack action, I choose the cautious path and vote kill. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 02:58, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  5. Keep - ... Or this one would work, too. -- Tirion529 03:04, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  6. Kill - Sheesh, you've already got to kill off all the zombies in the building before repairing, and being able to barricade. Enough already... make it fun --Boxy 03:18, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  7. Keep - Sure. Sonny Corleone WTF 03:34, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  8. Kill With a knife. This just makes Ransack to powerful. You have to kill all the zombies just to search and barricade, and it takes two ap? No way. HamsterNinja 03:45, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  9. Kill 1) give new changes time. Ransack was updated two weeks ago. 2) If Ransack ends up needing another boost, it will need more than this fiddle. --Rheingold 04:51, 3 July 2006 (BST).
  10. Keep - Two is better than one. --Ember MBR 05:23, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  11. Keep - Zombies are players too. –Bob Hammero TW!P! 05:53, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  12. Keep - What Ember said. Max Grivas JG,T,P! 07:22, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  13. SPAM AP IS NOT A UNIT OF TIME OR EFFORT. Random AP penalties are dumb. --Jon Pyre 07:24, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  14. Kill If it takes two AP for a survivor to clean up a totally ruined building then it should take two AP for a zombie to totally ruin a building. Youronlyfriend 09:09, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  15. Keep - I refer Jon pyre to the exact text of the 10ap syringe change to answer his rather poor thought. Also. Id like to note that he is abusing the spam vote. Harman supremacist. Me likey this suggestion. --Grim s-Mod U! 10:00, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  16. Kill - I refer Grim to the fact that it takes the same amount of AP to clear a building of hundreds of bodies, as it does to reload a pistol. --A Bothan Spy Mod WTF U! 10:16, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  17. Kill - Get yourself to full health, ransack a building and stay there. A real pain in the ass for survivors. --Nob666 12:07, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  18. Kill - No, just no. --Abi79 AB 12:19, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  19. Kill - Fails the make it fun rule. - Jedaz 12:25, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  20. Keep 2 Is funner than 1, because I love to hear the wailing and gnashing of survivor crybaby teeth. Please make ransack mean something. --Mookiemookie 12:40, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  21. Kill - While I agree that it should take more to repair than destroy, this is not how I would like it. Bring back the random chance to succeed suggestion! --Gene Splicer 13:32, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  22. Kill - Don't try to fix something that doesn't need fixing. --Swmono talk - W! - P! - SGP 16:27, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  23. Kill - One to destroy, stop all barricades past a door and no fixing till all of the zombies are out and you want TWO to fix it. It took me a day to fix nad barricade one building today. Just no. --Marie 16:39, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  24. Kill - I'll Quote this: Don't try to fix something that doesn't need fixing. --DJSMITHCDF 21:26, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  25. Keep -Makes sense.--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 00:05, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  26. Kill - I'm going to go with a No on this one...doesn't really balance. - Nicks 00:24, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  27. Kill - Multiply by a billion!! --Ron Burgundy 04:37, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  28. Spam - As Jon Pyre. [Edit - And against Labine50.] Again. Wow I think I'll just copy and paste this response. David Malfisto 23:44, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  29. Kill - What Ron Burgundy said. --Paradox244 20:21, 7 July 2006 (BST)

Hand-to-Hand Combat

Timestamp: 02:59, 3 July 2006 (BST)
Type: Improvement
Scope: Survivors and Zombies.
Description: This is a fairly straight foreword suggestion. When I look at my Zombie, I see a mangled corpse with torn hands that are warped by rigor and decay into bestial claws that rend and tear. Every time I'm revived I picture a Necrotech lab technician or grizzled survivor comming to him and curing him of his infectious condition, but what about his rent and torn hands? What happened to them? Why did they suddenly become fleshy lumps that have little use to him? I'd like to be able to picture survivors that were cured of their diseased states, but still bear the scars of their time as zombies.

So my suggestion is: Vigor Mortis and Rend Flesh effect Fist attacks when a survivor. This does not carry over for other weapons, just for punches.

  • Damage: With Rend Flesh, Hand-to-Hand, and Vigor Mortis it means a 35% chance to hit with an attack that deals 2 damage.

To a full-blooded survivor this may not seem like much to you, however it means quite a bit to a freshly revived corpse. I'm not suggesting Hand-to-Hand be usable by zombies when they are zombies, however, it allows those who were zombies to make use of their skills after they are revived.

Votes

  1. Keep - I love it. It would ease the zombie to human transition for a career zombie--Sig.PNGtalk 03:05, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  2. Keep - A better start for not-so-maxed zombies that want to explore the survivor's side a bit. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 03:10, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  3. Keep - Yes, good for those poor newbies who find themselves survivors with only Vigor Mortis as a skill, and doesn't help high level survivors, who will still use their trusty fire axes before bruising their fists --Boxy 03:21, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  4. Keep This is just the kind of stuff the game needs. HamsterNinja 03:47, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  5. Keep - Sounds good. A good boost for those survivors who buy all zombie and human skills (sans brain rot, of course), and also for those trenchcoaters who like to kill zeds with their fists. --Sgt. 20m813 (MPD) 04:32, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  6. Keep too minor to be really interesting, but so flavorful it's gotta be a Keep. --Rheingold 04:53, 3 July 2006 (BST).
  7. Spam - Survivors do NOT need to able to use zombie attacks. The trade off is that survivors get to use items like guns and FAK (yes, I know that zombies can use blunt weapons, but even SURVIVORS don't use blunt weapons). How come the Hand to Hand skill doesn't apply to zombies? And using your flavor information, it is presumed that a revive syringe fully "heals" a zombie to "normal" human status, so a revived survivor would be just like any other survivor. Survivors do NOT need to be made easier/more fun to play. Zombies do. Zombies typically don't take Rend Flesh until around level 5 (after Ankle Grab, Lurching Gait, Death Grip, and Memories of Life/Neck Lurch). And would the Hand to Hand thing be something automatically added to Rend Flesh or a seperate skill? This sounds like the kinda thing to help noobs, yet by the time one has Rend Flesh, they aren't (or SHOULDN'T be) a noob anymore.--Pesatyel 05:09, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  8. Kill - Survivors don't need zombie attacks. --Ember MBR 05:21, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  9. Keep - I like the flavour, and seeing as you're only proposing 2 damage at 35% to hit, this is fine to keep. Doesn't upset balance, but helps people when they switch. --Burgan 05:35, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  10. Keep - Simple but reasonable. I like it. –Bob Hammero TW!P! 06:01, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  11. Keep - I like it. - Jedaz 09:57, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  12. Keep - Huh, never thought of that. This could help fresh survivors a bit. --Nob666 12:11, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  13. Kill - Remember that Offspring song, "Keep 'Em Separated"? What the hell did that song mean? Oh well, anyways, thats pretty much how you should look at survivor and zombie skills. Keep them separated. --Mookiemookie 12:43, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  14. Keep - As Jedaz. --Swmono talk - W! - P! - SGP 16:28, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  15. Kill-As Ember.--ShadowScope 18:10, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  16. Kill - have you ever read the text given after a revive? it says: You watch the syrum begin it's molecular work why do you think it takes 10AP to stand up as a survivor? because you need that 10AP to regenerate dead tissue... just from a RP sense, it's not feasible --DJSMITHCDF 21:29, 3 July 2006 (BST)
  17. Keep - I like the idea and there is really no reason not to. And by some of your guys reasonings, Zombies shouldn't be able to recognize Necrotech buildings, or have body building, etc. --Kamron 2:11, July 3 (PST)
  18. Keep It'll help all those consumers out there and won't do anything for the rest of survivors. Who punches, anyhow? I mean, I'd hit someone in the baby-maker, but that's another story. --Ron Burgundy 04:41, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  19. Keep - Tasty, tasty flavor. --Jimbo Bob ASSU! 06:40, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  20. Kill - Please don't encourage skilled zombies to play as human. Thank you. David Malfisto 23:47, 4 July 2006 (BST)
  21. Keep - I like it --Kiltric 19:56, 14 July 2006 (BST)

Maggot Sting

See Revised Suggestion Below - Author, W3c 07:55, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Superhero!

Moved to Humorous suggestions. Author should take note that posting suggestions purposely made for satire in the suggestion's page is a vandal act and people will act accordingly. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 07:42, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Maggot Sting (Revised)

Spaminated with 7 Spam votes, 4 Kill votes and one Author Keep, 12 Votes Total. Most voters thought that Maggots are a bad idea - Author, W3c 16:07, 3 July 2006 (BST)

to be Spaminated it needs 7+ spams and 2/3+ of total votes be a spam, 7/12 is less than 2/3. Ybbor 16:53, 3 July 2006 (BST)
have you read the suggestion? If you did, you wouldn't be arguing --Sig.PNGtalk 18:07, 3 July 2006 (BST)
I read it and voted kill, I'm just saying...Ybbor 18:17, 3 July 2006 (BST)
Why make a big deal out of complaining about it being prematurely moved when you could have very easily restored it yourself? It was only a matter of time before it was spaminated anyways. --Mookiemookie 20:05, 3 July 2006 (BST)
'Only a matter of time' flies in the face of the entire democratic voting process. Rules should be respected when removing votes, regardless of personal opinion. --Burgan 20:40, 3 July 2006 (BST)
Great, awesome, point granted. But back to my original question: why the fuck do people try and create drama instead of just restoring the damn thing and being done with it? --Mookiemookie 20:52, 3 July 2006 (BST)
I was going for dialog, not drama. If it were just restored, then this dialog would be gone and no one would see any of the points brought up. Also, I won't assume authority to restore it; I'll leave that for either a mod or whoever removed it in the first place. --Burgan 22:48, 3 July 2006 (BST)
Also, I agree that the vote probably would have been spammed after I went back to read it, so it's not worth the effort to revive. Still that's not the point; cutting corners in the speedy-kill process is very iffy, since you're denying someone their right to vote keep if they wanted to. --Burgan 22:59, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Enough, take this to the disussion page. The main suggestions page is not the place for it.--The General-W! P! Mod23:02, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Keen Eye

Suggestion was Spaminated with 9 Spam, 2 Keep and 1 Kill votes of 12 Total. Most voters tought that this suggestion was very overpowered and if implemented no survivors wuold be stuck outside ever again. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 04:54, 4 July 2006 (BST)

Necrotech Elite

Suggestion was Spaminated with 7 Spam and 1 Kill votes, 8 votes total. Voters tought that it failed the "multiply by a billion" and the "costly doesn't equal balanced" rules, and empowered revives too much. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 05:26, 4 July 2006 (BST)
