[edit] About
The Heytown Coalition (or THC) was a project I, GoLookAndKill, started few weeks after I started to play this game. I was supposed to ally pro-survivor actors (lone player or groups) that aim to make Heytown a nicer suburb, with up-to-date information, safer buildings, and fewer Zombies in the streets. But the Coalition didn't get any interest by the people living here for a long time, for three reasons : they don't like change, they don't like being told what to do, and there were incredibly effetive. In fact, despite the overbarricading problem, Heytown as probably one of the safiest and better organised suburb in the game (and still is).
[edit] Background Story
This is the background story I wrote out for my caracter when I was planning to make my Coalition
[edit] No more peace
Once I was a peaceful one. I was living in South-East of Malton, doing my studies, having fun with friends. But one night... One night it was all over... Zombyz were rushing the streets, assaulting everyone. It was not like a hungry cat playing with a mouse. It was more like a fucking angry lioness horde! On every bite, every chase, every punch, the zombyz were putting all of their strength in their doings, it was Hell on Earth and Earth in Hell. I escaped luckily because I got a motor-bike, so I did zigzag between zombyz in the streets. I was driving at full speed so it was "easy", zombyz were only to see me when I was already gone. I was able to dodge main groups of those green dead AND living bastards, so I drove up the hill close to my district. I though zombyz will avoid going up, like children, because I supposed they were only half-minded people, like, living-dead. Unfortunately, it was like it had started everywhere in the same time, and there were zombyz up the hills. Going up, I was driving slithly slowly, so at a time 3 zombyz made a meat wall in the middle of the street. I was driving too fast to stop and there were no room on the road as there were burned car and broken stuffs everywhere. Like a city at war. So I just rushed at the zombyz, hoping their rotten bodies will let me pass through them in a horrible exploding flesh sound, but they were "fresh" zombyz, so I was just like hitting pedestrians. The shock threw me in the air, a flying helmeted-guy, in a destroyed and flammed world. Was almost fun. If it wasn't that scary. But I was fortunate. Just once. Instead of falling painfully on the ground, I kinda roll, so I didn't even had a scratch. I woke up and see if i could get my bike back. But the zombyz didn't seems to have died. They were on the ground, bleeding quite a bit, but there were still trying to move, and I wasn't sure to get or not my legs catched by some brain-less brain-eater. Plus, my motorbike wasn't looking that good, I felt depress. I though that if I have escaped, maybe friends have died, maybe members of my family, maybe my... O_O* SHIT! My girl! If she has... I must go there, I must find her! I ran to my bike, ready to drive it to the other part of the town, when I heard a really weird sound behind the flamming cars on the road. A quick look and I saw 6 or 7 zombyz coming my way, walking slowly... I knew I would took me time to put my bike on wheels, maybe time to make it running again. If I must do this while zombyz are coming my way and other try to get my legs like land-mines, it will give me only a very tiny chance to, well, not die... Fuck! FUUUCK! I decided to let my bike here, it was impossible for me to get it back! SHIT! How the hell I was going to go North-East of Malton ? I must find something. I must go there.
[edit] Hitch-hike
The whole town was paralysed, there were dead people lying everywhere and other were eating their brains. Disgusting... As it was pure Chaos, I thought it will be deadly to run outside, but even more deadly to let my girl alone there. So I just start to ran. I ran days and nights, without sleeping, too much dangerous... The only rest I got was getting sitted to eat with other living humans. Never lying. I could sleep. Which means I could die. While I travel the town, I learnt things. Things I couldn't even imagine. That scientists might have created accidentally those things. Or not so accidentally. That the town has been quarantine on the first days but that still not a lot of help coming from outside. Some says it's a big experience. Some said it's the same outside the quarantine. Some said it's "The Last Judgment". I think a lot of this is bullshit. People just don't understand. And people are afraid of what they don't understand. So they make answers. And then they are more confident. They think it's going to be better if they know who to blame. But not only I know it's wrong, I just don't care. All I want is to find my girl, and get the hell outa here. Today, this hour, now.
[edit] Not knowing is worst
After days traveling the city, I finally arrived in her district, Heytown, but I didn't find at her home. She was not here. I cross the suburb several times, but all I found was destruction and death... I was afraid to look at every corpse in the streets, afraid to recognize her... Finlay, after a week of searching, I was sure not to have seen her, living or dead... Maybe she's dead ? Maybe she has been eat to the bones by those things... Maybe she's now one of them, oh my god... But wait, wait, maybe she's alive, maybe she was able to escape, maybe she is one of the lucky people who managed to escape the town before the quarantine, maybe she's alright and safe. Yeah, maybe she's safe...
[edit] Fire by fire, death to The Death
Now, I'm calm. Not peaceful, but calm. Calm because I know. I know that will eventually die. But before that day I will do everything I can to keep those f*cking piece of sh*t out of Heytown. I will spend all my days taking them down to the Final Grave. I will bring Death to the deads. I have no one to save, no place to go. The only thing to do is waiting. So it's better waiting helping others. I think that what she would expected me to do. But wait, "expect". She's not dead. No, she's just away, in peace, smiling to the life. She's away and fine
[edit] Current Status
The Coalition is dismantled. No more. In fact, It didn't even exists.

[edit] Content
My plan is simple and is centered on 4 subjects : communication, barricade, revivification & daily reports
(I sum up here in a few words the what-to-do-in-a-glance, but if you want more precise information, please read the full described parts down bellow)
[edit] Comm'
- Make sure that there will always be a radio transceivers in the key buildings
- Make sure to always use 26.06 MHz and/or 26.07 MHz and have a handheld radio for each of those frequencies
- ALWAYS leave radio transceivers already set to 26.07MHz to that frequency
[edit] 'Cades
- Make sure that the key buildings are always barricaded to their specific level
- NEVER overbarricade, unless the building is under reasonnable attack
[edit] Revives
- ALWAYS DNA-extract the zombie you wanna revive
- Prefer to revive a friend than combat revive a zombie
- Combat revive a zombie is allowed, as long as you scan it, thus avoiding wasting a syringe
[edit] Reports
- Always leave a quick report of your day on a radio transceiver
- Please head your message with the "THC:" tag (exemple : 26.06MHz : THC:mall is breached by 50 zeds ! repeat mall is breached!
- Never spam, they are already way enough shit on the air
- Please update the status on the wiki so allies could know where to go. You are more than welcome to use the Heytown Building Information Center
[edit] The key buildings :
/!\ Please check the Heytown map while reading /!\
- the two Police Department : Chaffey Alley & Goldney Place
- the local Mobile Phone Mast : The Self Hotel
- and of course our single NecroTech Building : The Usher Building
[edit] Communication Policy
We need to have a powerful communication tool in the suburb, because what one can't do, maybe five can
[edit] Communication for all
Every buildings in the suburb shoud be equiped with a generator and a radio transceiver. This will able, through the massive communication, everyone to be warned about anything going on in the suburb : massive zombyz attack on the NecroTech Building, PKer in the Fire Station, etc... With coordination, survivors will have so much more chances to, well, survive.
Indeed, having 100% of the buildings equiped by a fueled generator and a radio transceiver is an utopia. That's why it might be wise to set up some priorities...
Actually, in highest priority, we need to have of course the ressource building to be equiped first. The following buildings should be fully equiped at all time and you should not hook a genny nor a radio transmitter in another building before.
That includes :
/!\ Please check the Heytown map while reading /!\
- the two Police Department : Chaffey Alley & Goldney Place
- the Sixtus General Hospital
- the Dyment Row Fire Station
- the Nuttycombe Auto Repair Shop
- the local Mobile Phone Mast : The Self Hotel
- and of course our single NecroTech Building : The Usher Building
On a second level of priority, I would say the museums, the cinemas, the libraries and the clubs in the district. People should be able to rest and/or increase their culture even if there are zombyz in the streets, for God sake !
Here we can found :
/!\ Please check the Heytown map while reading /!\
- Headquarter - Those groups did NOT joined this Coalition and are written here as exemple. For people rallying this coalition, See the list bellow
- Headshot Therapists | The Billingham Hotel
- Mad Craskers | the Craske Triangle
- Holy Order of the Pint | The Godson Arms
- The Heytown Coalition | HQ still not defined...
- Headquarter - Those groups did NOT joined this Coalition and are written here as exemple. For people rallying this coalition, See the list bellow
Then, for the last lvl of priority, I want to say :
- "Well, if every buildings listed upper is equiped by both a fueled generator and a radio transceiver, no one really don't care where you gonna hook you freshly looted genny..."--GoLookAndKill CFT THC 00:30, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Radio Frequency**
- Official Closed Frequency : 26.06 MHz
![]() | Short-wave Radio Info |
| This group or location has a dedicated radio frequency.
Frequency: 26.06 MHz |
/!\ This frequency* doesn't allows people that don't have the Radio Operation Skill to transmit, but every one can hear what it said on the air /!\
*This apply to 26.06 MHz AND 26.07 MHz (see below)
IMPORTANT NOTE : Even if the Wiki-official frequency in Heytown is 26.06 MHz, one of the alliance playing in the suburb for more than a year - The Mad Craskers - prefer to use 26.07 MHz. Reason of this choice might be that because 26.06 MHz is the "official" frequency, a lot of players broadcast shit on it, so the important pieces of information are hidden in the spam.
->But because my Coalition tend to use quite a bit the wiki, I choose that our official frequency would be 26.06 MHz
For now, official instructions are :
- to broadcast intel either on 26.06MHz or 26.07MHz, best on both. Those frequencies should be used at any time to ensure that every single survivors in the suburb will hear all messages transmitted (alarms, opportunities, PKs...). It has been used for a long time now, and it's a proven one.
- to carry 2 handheld radios at all time, each one tune to one of the 2 frequencies. This will allow you to receive information everywhere you are, even if the place you slept is not equiped by a radio transceiver
- not to retune AT ANY TIME radio transceivers that are already to 26.07 MHz. The Mad Craskers deserves our respect by holding the local NT building for years now.THIS IS A SPECIAL ORDER!
[edit] Barricade Policy
Let's make a sweet place to sleep, and a nice place to live
[edit] The old one
We all know that despite the official Barricade Plan, almost all the buildings are keeped at EHB. This make the suburb really unsafe for new survivors, but sometimes even for skilled players that need to go to other suburb to find a VSB building, and then FreeRunn back to Heytown...
I think it's the time that we stop being parano and that we respect the barricade plan. Having the only FS and the only Hospital at EHB is like, insane !
Here's the original and wiki-official Barricade Plan :

[edit] What I suggest
- We need to respect what people are used too, we can't change everything or they will not follow
- But we're here to improve, so what I suggest for now is just to turn some buildings from EHB to VSB. People will still overbarricading, so if we can have one VSB building near each key building we will have less people stuck outside the doors...
- Because I think culture is what makes people, maybe all museums should be at VSB...?

As you can see here, I didn't change a lot of things : I added an entry point near the FireStation, I added a entry point in the middle of the yellow (at the Dupe Cinema), and I turned every museums to VSB (except the Craske Museum, we don't need that much entry point around our single NT building...)
That's more building VSB, and I think this is good : more entry points, fewer AP needed to put them back to their lvl...
[edit] Revivification Policy
Winning the war. Ending the tears
[edit] Saving the people
In order to have a pleasant suburb, we need to have the dead not to wait too long to get revivified, so they can fight the Great Threat again ! That's why I would like to thanks the 2 3 groups that are already saving asses there for long now, the Headshot Therapists and the Mad Craskers
- Sorry for the Holy Order of the Pint, but I never heard about you since I'm in Heytown... If you pass by, you're more than welcome to leave a message here !
On the 14/12/2008, Happy Jutjaw said "As a founding Apostle of the Holy Order of the Pint, it is my duty and pleasure. :)" confirming that the Holy Order of the Pint is alive and moving !
But, because we're here to improve (if possible), I proudly annonce the creation of a third (yes!) Revive Point in Heytown, located at St. Onuphrius's Church. Heytown didn't have yet an indoor revive point, but now it's done.
See this page to get in touch with the indoor reviving
[edit] Killing the deads
Revivification is, if not the only one, our main weapon against zombyz. Waiting being killed by friends or crossing the map looking or a building to jump from is way more annoying than just clicking on "Stand up", even if that cost 5 AP..
I think we definitly need to make some wise Combat Revive in the streets, for 4 5 reasons :
- We will always DNA-scan them before using a syringe, so no wasted syringes
- Shooting zombies only slows them down, but combat revives actually "kill" zombies as opposed to having them stand again and tear down the barricades.
- The Dual Nature play style is fairly popular with feral zombies, or Opportunists. If revived, such characters offer one more survivor to the cause, and one less zombie
- Even if a zombie possess dangerous human skills, not all zombies are equipped to, or desire to, PK, GK, and RK. Any PKing, moreover, is an inefficient use of AP on the part of the revived zombie.
- Kevan never said it's was bad to do so ;)
[edit] Reports Policy
Sharing can saves lifes
[edit] In-game
[edit] The idea
That's pretty simple : always keep an AP before heading a safe place, so you'll be able to broadcast on the [radio transceiver]] (if any) the important information you discovered today (huge crowds of zombies near the NT building, people waiting at the revive point, etc...). Please leave only usefull information. That AP will not be wasted because the next guy connecting to the game will in fact save a lot of AP if he doesn't have to search for his mission. You, in fact, will save a lot of AP the next time you gonna connect to the game, because you will see what you gotta do today.
[edit] Dealing with the spam
Every day, you don't even listen the radio 'cause their is so much shit on it ? I know, I got the same one. So let's make this : head your message with the "THC" tag, so that you'll be able to distinguish the shit ("poo poo po doo" or "argh ! 1 zed outside the mall, help so F*CKING N33D3D!"), from the no-shit ("THC:5 zeds inside Usher, 6 humans, 1 dead, help needed")
[edit] Wiki is your friend :)
When I'm running out of AP to go back in a safe house, I use the wiki a lot to find a place without wasting my precious AP. But most of the times the information is more than a week old, so it's like having nothing. So, you are more than welcome to update status of the buildings you see in the game, using the Heytown Building Information Center. I know it's boring, but just leaving a few words may save the ass of a guy, the same guy who revived you 12h later 'cause a zed broke into your house and killed you.
