I want to see people running in, grabbing what they need, and leaving, rather than sleeping in the mall. I feel it would give zombies 1 less reason to break in. --Jerran1 (talk) 23:52, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
For survivors, malls tend to have almost everything they need.
Kek? The only thing that survivors really need that can be found reliably at a mall are FAKs, and they are found even more easily in Hospitals. The only resource for which malls are superior are guns and ammo. Firearms can play a role for special purposes (such as defending a contested building against rotters, or clearing a clogged up ruin to repair it), but for the most part you are better off stockpiling needles and FAKs and employing River Tactics.
So why not give the zombies one less reason to break in. Why don't we just grab what we need, and get out.
Meatshielding. An occupied building makes it much harder to just break down the barricades and ruining the whole building. - That being said, many survivors already use malls only to stockpile and then sleep in a less threatened building. -- Spiderzed 23:17, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
It was always my understanding that Kevan nerfed FAK collection in malls so people could only get the reliably on hospitals. A ZOMBIE ANT 02:04, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Meatshielding eventually requires syringes, as an overwhelming number of zombies will simply use them as a reward for their hard work as soon as they get in.

If there weren't so many survivors sleeping in them, the number of zombies attacking them would eventually drop. Most zombies go for the TRPs, simply because it's where the food goes. If the zombies were breaking in, only to find no survivors to eat and frequent raids by survivors using the mall, usually not giving the zombies a chance to fight back, the mall would eventually become less appealing.

Sometimes river tactics aren't decisive enough. This gives survivors an option to speed up the migration of zombies if they end up in the mall, through hit and run tactics, or it can be used the same way as classic river tactics.

Ahh, so you care more about how zed nature is effected by consumerism. To a degree I agree with you. Without a moving zed population we can't have random siege parties, which are pretty fun from what I hear. I'll join the movementJoshCz (talk) 16:14, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
