When you fill your list, and have 150, and then try to add more, what happens? Does it let you know your list is full? --    : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 11:27, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it does notify you that your list is full. It says somthing about not being able to have more than 150 contacts on top of the contact list, to the left. It has happened to me before. ---Scout talk :) 21:24, 11 May 2010 (BST)

Discovery

If you click a link which would add a contact from an outside source (such as the wiki) you get:

Contacts List.png

Clicking 'Add <Name>' links to:

http://urbandead.com/contacts.cgi?add=<ID Number>&confirmed=1

Also, you can add yourself to your own contacts list. It seems to do nothing. --VVV RPGMBCWS 00:06, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Interesting, I thought this might be new behaviour. Or, rather, it seems to newly do this (now) from an in-game profile view. But today is the first time I've seen it at all (previous attempt to add contact was within the last few days, and I've been playing this same way for many, many years). Then suddenly it wants me to confirm but the confirmation button does nothing but give the same option to confirm.
In case it is confusing anybody else, here's what I discovered by a little intuitive testing: Take the "confirmed=" in the URL and make it "confirm=". Then the contact adds to the list, like it should.
Whether this problem (and solution) lasts long enough to make this info of any use, I don't know. If Kevan has just changed something then maybe he'll change it back/change it properly when he realises it's slightly broken. But until then, you're welcome! Postscript: My 'solution' failed to work for me on a second attempt to add a contact. I left it unfulfilled overnight and then got back to it this morning. It still tried to do the "confirmed=" thing but this time worked with the rewritten "confirm=" thing. Either the situation is unstable/still being tweaked or I was overtired and did something not quite right. So Caveat Browsor, perhaps. Soupspoon (talk) 08:43, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

Anyone has a nice color system they want to share, which includes teammates, alts, main zombie groups? --Fravul (talk) 16:39, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

As you're asking, and a 'mere' 21 months ago or so:
  • I put any rotters that I encounter in Black
  • Anyone who heals me as Green
  • Anyone who revives me as Purple
  • Anyone who PKs me as Red.
  • Unchanged/(grey/gray) is 'mere' zombie that I have no prejudice of but might find handy to remember just for prioritisation reasons.
This is all to save time at RPs, mainly, although can assist me in other crowding situations.
Red always supercedes/’upgrades' Black where both apply (for the habitually nasty). Likewise, Purple supercedes Green (for the very helpful). And I have a very few complicated cases that use the other hues, e.g., Blue which may mean a living-rotter-who-healed-me, but not just that (it's mostly there to make me realise there's a reason to pay attention and drag my memory for why).
White used to be "seen doing good things", years ago, but I can't afford to clog up my Contacts with that (esp. when one-time-whites have either flipped to Rotter-play or were not quite so good to start with) so there's none left after some necessary pruning to add more of those who more directly matter to know on sight. Technically I could repurpose it, now.
Whatever else, though, this scheme probably says more about me than about those I seek to classify. Soupspoon (talk) 23:40, 21 September 2021 (UTC)
