Just want to say the NCoL is in support of the A.R.S.E. the leader of the new ARSE list is also part fo the Council. this is proof that they are supporters of PKing.--Deathnut 02:54, 16 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Lol what --Katthew 09:10, 16 Jan 2006 (GMT)

If any of your troops in the Caiger Mall area need a revive, St. Isadores is our designated revive point. --Flaunted 17:11, 28 Nov 2005 (GMT)

What was the result of the recent vote on the UD board for the 12th seat? -- GIR 10:24, 21 Sep 2005 (BST)

The vote is still continuing. --Daxx 11:25, 21 Sep 2005 (BST)
When does the vote end? And what of the votes that were cast on the forum before it was closed? -- GIR 18:06, 21 Sep 2005 (BST)

Are the 11 members of CoL also members of other groups? I get the impression the CoL is an umbrella organisation, It even uses that term once in the article, but I don't really see any info about what other organisations are under the CoL. If the 11 members are member of other groups those groups should be next to their names on the list. -- GIR 22:07, 16 Sep 2005 (BST)

Many, if not all used to be leaders of groups of some kind, but now are generally committed to the Council, with their groups dissolved into strike teams. The umbrella aspect comes from the affiliated groups and their leaders, not the Councillors themselves. --Daxx 23:12, 16 Sep 2005 (BST)
In that case can the name of the strike groups be by their name? Also, can a list of affiliated groups and their leaders be included in the article? -- GIR 23:37, 16 Sep 2005 (BST)
I'm afraid for security reasons we will not release this information. Many affiliated groups do not wish to be publicly shown as such. We repect this, and so as a matter of policy we do not release any information on affiliated groups. Besides which, if you're really interested, read some of the threads on the forum and you can probably guess by the general tone of things. As much as I'd like to give people more information, this particular item is not something we're willing to disclose, I'm sure you understand the reasons why. --Daxx 00:40, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)

I just filled this in by skimming the CoL stickies at the forums. Anyone who wants to do a real edit should feel free to completely delete my work.--Milo 05:12, 10 Sep 2005 (BST)

Somebody from the CoL should throw a list of their affiliated military units up here. --Talain 21:28, 10 Sep 2005 (BST)

I find the current text at the bottom horribly one-sided. Then again, the DARIS page is more a private page than a wiki information page and the members fight even statements of fact tooth and nail. Still, two wrongs don't make a right, so I'd ask the CoL members to clean it up. I've removed to obviously loaded terms. -- Markus 00:49, 14 Sep 2005 (BST)

I think the rule about group pages is now "NPOV up top, manifestos below." So the CoL can say whatever they want here, as long as they make it clear where the NPOV ends.--Milo 23:39, 14 Sep 2005 (BST)

Improving the page

I'll do a little editing, improving and additional linking later on when I have some time. I'll add the policies, as well as any other useful information I can find. I'll add some history too, from what Anarok sent me when she trawled the Yahoo! IC list before the forums, and from looking at some older forum threads. --Daxx 02:24, 15 Sep 2005 (BST)

Is the criticism stuff really NPOV? Or should it have its own section? --Daxx 02:27, 15 Sep 2005 (BST)

It is the most accurate and NPOV version of their allegations I could come up with. Feel free to improve upon that and/or add the CoL's take on the matter.
As to the larger question, whether criticism should be part of the info section, my answer is yes, in short form. It should not be buried somewhere down the page and it balances the info box itself because the group's statements about goals etc. will invariably be about positive things. Third, within "NPOV up top, manifestos below." it's the only suitable place AFAIK. --Markus 02:35, 15 Sep 2005 (BST)
I put some more sections on the page, as the first part was kinda long and about several topics. Feel free to switch it up. -Daranz 02:43, 15 Sep 2005 (BST)

Council Elections and Nominations

All nominations have ceased. The current nominees are being debated and our decisions will be made public on the main COL page.

Just for future reference, you should always sign your posts on a talk page, Dreadnaught. --ShaqFu 05:17, 13 Oct 2005 (BST)

Requests for Assistance

If you need assistance or need to contact a member of the COL or the Council itself, please leave a message here. For future reference, please sign your posts.

I'd like to talk about getting some reinforcements to what seems like a possible flashpoint in the making just south of Ridleybank - I'm Billy Oporto at the UD forums, gimme a PM.

RivalFlux UD Profile

He killed me in my sleep at the Retallick Walk Police Dept in the Millen Hills suburb [54, 15] on 12-11 03:41 GMT.

CoL, if you have any Bounty Hunters, please do that thing you do to humans who run around killing weaker humans. I would greatly appreciate it. Please let other survivors know they should look out for this guy. Kill him if he enters your building unless you want to wake up dead. RivalFlux PK Image

Sorry, had to remove the image. Hosting on the wiki is not a good idea when you can use photobucket. We'll look into it. --Daxx 12:47, 11 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Thanks, Daxx. Sorry for the image format mistake, and for neglecting to sign that PK report. -- Cordially, Clay 07:47, 12 Dec 2005 (GMT)

DARIS information

I altered the information about DARIS movements post-shearbank. It previously said that DARIS showed up again in Breeden Way PD for a short time before Breeden Way fell. I was in Breeden Way through the siege and escaped west, the impression we had was that there were a small number of DARIS members fleeing towards us from Shearbank but that they weren't the main group. We never saw large numbers of DARIS members, and they were never a sizable part of the 70+ survivors defending Breeden Way.

But besides that, I think it's a bit problematic that the CoL page has more information about DARIS activity and movements than the DARIS page does. The info should be gathered in one place.

A Request To The CoL

My name is Jack Cortez. I am the representative of The New Maltonian Dynasty. We seek unity of all groups for set periods of time so that large areas may be liberated from encroaching zombie forces. Please contact me. Unity is key, and we must fight back and put aside our diffrences from time to time. You can reach me at Vladmyre@hotmail.com. Thank you, and may we all see this curse through.

Political Wrangling

Right. Can we agree that we have this page representing the original Council of Leaders with a clear disambiguation at the top, with the page Council of Leaders (new) representing the newly-formed Council? This seems the best solution I can think of, and hopefully we can avoid any further edit wars regarding name clashes. -- Odd Starter 03:05, 28 Nov 2005 (GMT)

This is utterly bizarre. I know that certain members of the community are hell-bent on trying to destroy, defame and spread lies about the Council, but this takes it a step too far. This is now simply trolling on a grand scale. I have no words. --Daxx 12:15, 28 Nov 2005 (GMT)

At least it's perfectly clear which is which, which, I believe, was the whole point of going through the move calisthenics. -- Odd Starter 12:58, 28 Nov 2005 (GMT)
I just have no idea why the new faction has decided to rip off someone elses name. Is that the new trend? Shall we just all start 60 different variations on the same group? There are many other ways to name a group to indicate that you want an executive meta-role in the game without ripping off someone else to get a high profile quickly. Elliothatman 13:04, 29 Nov 2005 (GMT)
You can ask Katthew if you like, since he's the one that started it (with the other SA people). Although, good luck getting an answer out of the cursing if you do... -- Odd Starter 03:47, 30 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Then it looks like the wiki is on the down and out in terms of factual usefulness. Elliothatman 08:39, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
HURR HURR SA IS RUINING TEH GAEM!!! --LibrarianBrent 14:57, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
...ok then... thankyou for that little display. I have nothing against SA being anywhere. I just don't think that starting a group with the same name as another group which still exists is beneficial to anyone. It's childish, regardless of who does it. Sort of like if after the Civil War the USA named themselves England because they didn't like the job England was doing of being England. Elliothatman 15:33, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Well, perhaps Kevan should get involved in the debate. This is an unpleasant little bit of troll we have stumbled upon. --MaulMachine 14:19, 2 Dec 2005 (EST)
Agreed. Elliothatman could stand to learn to be a bit more civil. --Katthew 23:35, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Confirmed Group Status

Just a quick note to say that I removed the Category:Confirmed Groups from the page. The reason being that the Category:Confirmed Groups was created to only list groups that showed up on the stats page and, at this moment, the Council of Leaders (either old or new) isn't showing up. — g026r 22:55, 29 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Various Affiliated groups are, however. See The Gingerbread Men, and countless others. Should this count or not? --Daxx 03:39, 30 Nov 2005 (GMT)
At the moment I haven't been counting that. (I'll be honest: I'm currently the only one really doing anything with the Confirmed Groups category.) My reasoning being that it's too easy for someone to create a new group and say "Oh, and Group A is affiliated with us," when it might not be true (and could be quite difficult to verify). The CoL isn't the only organisation that I've had this discussion with, so it might be time to have a bunch of people sit down and hash out just what (if anything) beyond the group itself showing up on the stats counts as confirmed and what doesn't. — g026r 04:01, 30 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Disambiguation

Is that even a word? I think so, but Idunno if I spelled it right. Anyway, more to the point, is Daxx a current councillor, or not? He's not listed as one, but the History section says he still is. Just wondering if that could be cleared up some. - RosutoEnzeru 09:20, 11 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Saromu leaves?

Hmmm. Does this leave an open seat on the Council? Who'll fill it?--'STER-Talk-Mod 01:04, 27 Jan 2006 (GMT)

A message from CMS

Great warriors, soldiers, medics, and scientist alike; allies who were, are and will bravely defend the mall, listen to me. The mall has been under siege now for more then a month and the defenders have done well. The zombies have noticed this as well, and have lost a great deal of hope, trying to reach an unreachable goal. They are tired, and want to leave, but do cannot make up their mind. It is up to us, fellow defenders of all sorts and ages, to help them decide, to help give them a good hard push, send them home, to where they belong. Fellow members of CMS have come up with an effective plan, and would like to call out to all the allies of the mall to aid them in, for this is as a mall for us as it is for you. If you would like to get involved in the plan, please email me (redbeak@gmail.com) your Username and your profile link, and I would then send you a password to an account for a forum, on which the plans and discussions are being held. All this is a precaution, in order to prevent complications of zombie spies. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, I would most definitely answer it.

Hope to see you all in the birth of this great plan, MLSGuy (Steven Yu, member of CMS)
