Diaries

I doubt anyone would want to as there is a prize to the best ones.

Meh who cares about prizes?--Karekmaps?! 20:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Nobody. It's amusing that this is really the first time UD roleplayers win. --Vandurn 13:48, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
I care about prizes!--Warlord zephyr 21:23, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
"If You Meet the Buddha, Kill the Buddha!" Kevan, who is it? --Sensodyne 02:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Anyone been noticing difficulties filming what should be filmable events? For example:- A zombie attack when none exists in the list of filmed events. -- Pontifactus 21:40, 18 March 2008 (GMT)

List of Clips

Should a list of known clips be added here or not? It could help people who are trying to get all of them. I apologize if this sounds stupid.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gamee Shark (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Although all you have to do is view the posted Diaries above, I'm tempted to say don't make a list as some people (in the UK at least) may want to keep it competetive. Post the list once the competition is over.--Co fragment 13:13, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
I omitted it when I made the page because I didn't want to effect the competition by telling people where to go to get what they need.--Karekmaps?! 23:55, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
I still don't get the contest, and though I may be wasting space for not being a citizen of the UK, is this basically an Easter Egg hunt over who can find the most clips? (I really do enjoy the RP value of having cameramen -- guys like Ron Burgundy can really shine here. A Lost Boy 20:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, that is pretty much what it is. Some of the clips look rather interesting and random too.--Karekmaps?! 22:31, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
With a raffle to decide any tie. --PdeqTalk* 22:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Clips are taken from the DotD. Just browsing through the promotional site i've already spotted lots of them. It also gave me hints on what other clips would be... :) --~~~~ [talk] 23:35, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I find it a shame that it's only for UK residents. I would be more than willing to pay for shipping myself to wherever whenever... but I do wish those involved the best of luck and may the best survivors win! talk --Thorvien 03:37, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Well I certainly haven't won but I'll make a start on the list with the clips I've got:

Name Auto/Manual Description
First aid Auto Heal or be healed with a FAK. No healing skills required.
Flare Auto Recorded whenever you see a flare fired into the air. Not sure if the "ignore all flares" option affects this.
Introduction Manual Recorded the first time you click on your camera
Graffitti Manual Use the camera at any location where a message has been sprayed
Radio Transmitter Manual Use the camera inside a building with a powered radio transmitter
Lit Building Manual Use the camera inside any powered building (not sure if the building being ruined prevents this)
Survivor Crowd Manual Required number of survivors: somewhere between 13 and 15
Lone zombie Manual Single zombie present
Zombie slaying Auto Survivor (possibly yourself) kills a zombie
Survivors Manual 3 or more survivors.
Murder Auto Survivor or zombie (possibly yourself) kills a survivor.
Fresh Corpse Manual Killed survivor who has not yet stood up as a zombie
Cemetery Manual Just click on the camera when at a cemetery
The Woods Manual Click on the camera at any "woodland" location, including a clearing.
Barricades Fall Auto Captured when you see the "A zombie brought down the last of the barricades" message.
Barricading Auto A survivor (possibly yourself) begins to build the barricades
Zombie Group Manual 3 or more zombies
Corpse Pile Manual 11 or more corpses
Zombie Attack Auto You must be attacked by a zombie yourself
Binoculars Auto Use binoculars in a tall building

That's 20 out of 30. Other clips in the diaries linked above: Safehouse, Ridley's Pool, Samuel's Barn, Debra's Dorm, Parkdale, Zombie Horde, Ruin, Zombie Drag, Infection Death. I'd particularly like to know how to get the "Safehouse" clip. I know it's not a unique location and it's not enough to film yourself in an EHB building with 100+ survivors. --Explodey 13:58, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Actually, the "Safehouse" is just any lit building with barricades. A clearing works for "woodland". A corpse pile requires 11 or more corpses; ditto with a zombie group. A survivor crowd I think is anything over 20 (or was it over 50?). Zombie Slaying just needs you to witness someone killing a zombie, anyone.
And since this is over, let me put my non-UK entry of 23 clips. I didn't get Murder, horde, or Binoculars. That leaves only 1 unknown clip. An undead re-animating was not newsworthy and neither was a survivor being killed. Go figure. Pakopako 14:01, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
No, I just tried again in the Colliver Bulding (349, 22) which is lit, VSB, 7 survivors total. Still don't have the Safehouse clip. See Jessica Norwood's diary above, it's only missing one clip (so maybe it will win.) --Explodey 14:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
nope, read below: safhouse is auto clip when somebody sets up a gen (not needed fueling) --~~~~ [talk] 14:30, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

It does not need to be yourself for zombie slaying, murder, or barricading. I got all of those clips while not even logged in.(IRMacGuyver 10:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC))

That's all we got so far. As far as I know, we have the most complete list to date, but feel free to prove me wrong. ;) --CWisGood 14:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

"So far". There's only 1 clip left, and i'm still trying to rule it out --~~~~ [talk] 14:30, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Anyone try jumping off a building? It could be another landmark capture if we have fans of the movie on the Wiki. Pakopako 19:22, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Suicide is a good guess - but my money is on Headshot - has anyone even gotten to level 10 yet? i've got one guy pretty much just farming AP that's up to 9; but that's it... some better luck would have gotten someone to 10 i bet.--Lardass 02:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Nope and Nope. According a hint Kevan made in a letter (if i'm allowed to post it here?.. :/) it is something about wearing specific piece of clothing, relied on having seen the film. Kevan also wrote that only 1 player got it (maybe accidently?) --~~~~ [talk] 21:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, Kevan's exact wording was 'The 30th was very, very obscure, and relied on having seen the film, and searching carefully for a particular item of clothing - only one player got it, of the thousands who took part.' --CWisGood 12:21, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Still not had a chance to go see the movie so the following was guesswork, but prior to my characters getting zombified I checked out the wooden barn, a farmhouse, parkdale hospital and dederik dorm as likely spots - nothing seemed to out of the ordinary. If anyone has the opp. the pool might be work a shot --Co fragment 19:49, 2 April 2008 (BST)
Well, if you do be forewarned - the pool and surrounding mansion is ruined and a few zeds are milling about (one of my idled alts i used to help map) but i kind of doubt that it's the pool as the pool was/is already one of the clips it's probably more obscure, but i didn't see the movie.--Lardass 01:11, 3 April 2008 (BST)
Since video cameras are disabled now, I'll share the secret - the clip was "Mummy Movie", and you had to get an accomplice to stand in the woods dressed up in a mummy costume (Ridley's costume from the film, which is still lying around in Hamilton Mansion). --Kevan 10:36, 3 April 2008 (BST)
Thanks ever so much - i'll add it to the main page. it was kinda bugging me if that last one would ever be revealed.--Lardass 19:41, 3 April 2008 (BST)
I went to the Hamilton Mansion. I cannot find a mummy costume. Is it found the normal way or by searching for it?(IRMacGuyver 10:29, 7 April 2008 (BST))

Video Camera Page

Felt like it was time to add a page listing all known info on Video Cameras, naturally links to diaries and talk:diaries. --Co fragment 21:07, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

The pictures and descriptions during shooting

Does anyone have a list of all the pictures/dialogue seen when shooting these things? I could submit a number of them...--Kolechovski 19:52, 24 April 2008 (BST)

I've been meaning to add them for a while now, well all I have at least. Was tempted to move to it's own page due tos size. Anyone got any opinions on that? I added links to the images and not the images themselves (guessing those are copyrighted) - also each clip is numbered based on the image files for that clip (see link to clip image, eg. 13.flare etc.), which is the same order as originally listed also.--Co fragment 11:48, 26 April 2008 (BST)
That's because the original list was made by us, members of Till Death Do Us Part, basing on these images --~~~~ [talk] 12:57, 26 April 2008 (BST)
