  • Hey, just wanted to give a head's up that Clapton Stadium in West Grayside has shown a little preview of your event. I'd suggest adding them to the festivities, perhaps, as they seem to have a good idea of how to Blow Stuff Up so that it Looks Pretty. :3 Dray 03:00, 10 June 2006 (BST)

Music Suggestions

I'll get the music suggestions started off. I recommend Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks" (for the preliminaries--it's a bit soft for the main event), the end music from Star Wars Ep. 1, Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's "Messiah," the "Infernal Dance" from Stravinsky's Firebird, "Dies Irae" from Mozart's Requiem, maybe "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana, and maybe "Battles In the Twilight" by Power Symphony or "The End of the Line" by The Offspring {read the lyrics :) }. --Enoch the Watcher 22:52, 10 May 2006 (BST)

O Fortuna is perhaps my favorite song

Tchaikovsky's 1812 overature is a bit overused

I go with o Fortuna...kinda bleak though, dontcha think? -PadreRomero

Might I suggest: Zombie Nation, The Theme from "The Rock", Thunderstruck, -Nate

Oh Nathan, you know i've never like your taste in music. I'm officially backing "The Messiah" Padre Romero

Messiah for me too, perfect for the scene we're trying to set here Mira Hart 17:51, 22 May 2006 (BST)

I might as well add a suggestion: Caiger Zombie Free. Even if it's not played as the big finale, I'd like to include it somewhere in the program. --Specialist290 17:15, 31 May 2006 (BST)

All very good, I'll have to ask Tim and Bossa how much airtime we're gonna have.

Since this is a morale-boosting event may I suggest Ode to Joy by Beethoven, perfect for the event I would've thought.

Parralel zombie event?

I was wondering if it was worth it to organize a parallel, zombie chorus event in light of Malton's aniversary?

Heck, maybe some big zombie groups would even declare a truce for it... well, except for the barricade smashing required to get the groan chorus started. --McArrowni 02:29, 3 June 2006 (BST)

  • If it's done in the parks, McArrowni, why not have z's and survivor's mingle together to sing? :P Granted, there'd be a lot of gunfire and nomming involved, but heck, take what you can get out of a truce with the undead, right?Dray 03:04, 10 June 2006 (BST)
    • Ooh, I missed the "park" part. Gonna make it easier for me to join with a chorus... Now if only I had the time to start a zombie group for this. --McArrowni 22:46, 10 June 2006 (BST)

Well, I may be late, but my zombie is singing and saying "Haa na Arban Bab harh!" (or some variation of thereof), to every survivor he can find :P (retetively). And "Bamba bamba bamba!". In the park :P (and I didn't even groan once... thought most of the new zombies woudn't get the bamba spirit) --McArrowni 02:04, 4 July 2006 (BST)

Countdown

I suggest you add a countdown to the exact time the Extravaganza is meant to start. You may make one here: http://timetill.com/

A brilliant Idea, it has been done PadreRomero 16:46, 5 June 2006 (BST)

  • Just a note, but the TimeTill countdown clock isn't working anymore. Thom Solo 17:00, 25 June 2006 (BST)

Uh-oh

I hit the IP limit yesterday, which is just Super when it's only 4 hours away. The server resets at 5pm here and it's almost 1 o clock. My mom works at the bank and she would probably be wondering what I spent $5 on and give me a good lecture on wasting money so that's a no-no. I'm going to be late.--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 19:49, 2 July 2006 (BST)

Ok, I'm upgrading to a double uh-oh because now my parents are inisiting on going to see my sister. I won't be able to make it period.--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 20:13, 2 July 2006 (BST)

I am sorry to hear that. My contacts in starlingtown will launch extra flares in your honor. Enjoy!

As a reminder to those in the UK, where server reset corrisponds roughly with the date change, we will be launching on the day of the third at server reset according to Greenwhich mean time, which if my math serves me right will corrispond to an hour before july 4th. Not as the date changes from july 2nd to july third.

Thanks for doing that, I made it right at 5pm here when the server resets on CST, but to add isnult to injury, I was dead. I managed to get an alt over there who sent up a flare and ran out of AP.--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 00:02, 4 July 2006 (BST)

What Time Exactly?

I hope to be at the Caiger event to hear V speak... am I correct in saying that there are 24 hours left? It's harder to calculate for those of us who aren't in the UK ;) --Rheingold 00:16, 3 July 2006 (BST).

you are indeed correct, there is about 23 hours left as of me writing this PadreRomero 01:36, 3 July 2006 (BST)

I have V's speech with me right now, and am in position to give it. I must admit, I'm very nervous, but the instructions V gave me are increcibly detailed. But is server reset GMT 0 or GMT+1 because of England Summer Time? I hope you're reading this Padre. (OH man, I thought I'd missed it, then I realised that it will be Monday night, right? The midnight between Monday and Tuesday?) --DogSoldier

That is exactly right, the midnight between monday and tuesday.

11 hours left! Rheingold 12:38, 3 July 2006 (BST).

It begins.... Rheingold 00:08, 4 July 2006 (BST).

So far, everything is rolling along smoothly. I gave my life to revive two people who were dead but wanted to participate, but what is a life in the city of Malton? Hopefully, this will truly be memorable. PadreRomero 00:45, 4 July 2006 (BST)

My bamba rendition

It seems to have been attributed to another zombie. I am quite shocked, because the screenshot is exactly my lyrics for it. So, who in the blazes told you it was that guy? Or maybe I wasn't the only one? --Grognor 22:50, 4 July 2006 (BST)

Thankyee --Grognor 02:18, 5 July 2006 (BST)

Will There Be an Extravaganza '07?

Just thought I'd ask. I know July 3rd is a ways off, but I wanted to know if anyone was going to organize one for this year. --Specialist290 22:43, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

That is a very, very good question mr. specialist...the answer is a definite yes. PadreRomero 23:53, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Good to know. Hopefully I'll be able to participate this year--I think I was on vacation when the last one happened.

Just to let you all know,... I intend to get my group, the Knights Templar, to host a spot in Kempsterbank. We might be doing it at Bant Park. All are welcome to come and attend. We may do it there, so Pole Mall, and the stadium next to it may observe it. --Poodle of doom 18:41, 13 May 2007 (BST)
