[edit] May 18th

Lamport Walk Police Dept. is currently Ruined. One zed spotted inside, with 4 others on an adjacent block. Those survivors seeking ammo should proceed with extreme caution in the immediate future. --Rat of Steel 01:51, 18 May 2009 (BST)

Rationale: offering of pro-survivor tactical advice. Please read the guidelines which are clearly posted above the News section. Thanks. --WanYao 01:56, 18 May 2009 (BST)

[edit] Unsigned gibberings

Someone add the Crossman group thing.

If anyone is maintaining a suburb-specific barricading policy, please link it in the article. --Dan 17:52, 3 April 2006 (BST)

Can someone with more wiki-experience then me please update the danger level? --William Spurlock 16:42, 10 May 2006 (BST)

[edit] 'Revive point

Id really like to set up a better RP from luch rd, my arguement

First of all the reasons why Luch Road is not what i would call a good RP, firstly is has only 2 connected building and in general is in a really bare spot of gatcomberton(its nearly as bad as wykewood for open spaces this place). It is too far from an NT to justify its placement and not close enough to the mall to be an effective spot. For the new RP I 've had to take alot of issues into account, the first is the recify the surrounding buildings. Around Grenter Square there is 3 buildings and even if these are all closed you are near enough to the mall to use it's entry point to use that. The second consideration is NT placement, as you can see on the [URL=http://map.aypok.co.uk/index.php?suburb=13]map[/URL] there are not an NTs in this suburb so you have to consider the surrounding suburbs and see where the nearest one is. 2 close ones are in shuttlebank and judgewood. Both of these are near the border and can be free runned to from the new RP. I would actually like the point to be nearer to the shuttlebank one at either Woolacott Street or Rankin Road but the mall has to be taken into consideration and an RP with a mall in the suburb has to be close to that mall, as has been said ppl die in malls(especially in sieges) and therefore the RP needs to be close. Also the mall has the major survivor population and as such more ppl come from it to revive. The other reason i did not choose the other 2 spots is because there is also no easy free running to mall.

[edit] April 26 News

Deleted by Karek but reposted here in the interests of NPOV discussion. Now while the survivor rant is obviously POV and should go to a forum or group Talk rather than news I tend to not bother so much if it's in a news desert like Gatcombeton where ANY news is good news from a gamer perspective. Obviously in contested suburbs this will lead to wiki wars etc., but the Catacombs ... hardly anyone has a long term interest in this place apart from Extinction. Given this I think my post is not only amusing and adds flavour to an otherwise desolate wiki page it is also in survivor interests to know that our Extinction Squads regularly pass through here going east to west or from Calvert south to Caiger ... ALL the time for the last year since we took Quarlesbank. In that sense both posts together are neutralized ... a sort of composite NPOV.

They're gone now though, and the desolation of Gatcombeton is all the better for it as tumbleweeds slowly roll across its wiki page.--Zeug 08:47, 26 April 2008 (BST)

As a Ghost town, i believe we should rebuild, with the lack of zombies, it would be easy for a group of higher lvl members to come in and barricade the Tactical Resource Point's, and set other access buildings such as banks and libraries, apartment buildings, etc. at vhb. -Eric Bessette

Extinction welcomes all newcomers to the Catacombs of Gatcombeton as this barren wasteland has never supported large numbers of the undead due to the long term chronic lack of take away brain franchises beyond the now abandoned shops of Calvert Mall. Prospective lessees of said brain outlets are encouraged to register expressions of interest with the Extinction Small Business Bureau in order to maximize the logistics of supply and demand. --Zeug 07:54, 26 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] overbarricading

I died due to the fact, alle the buildings that were marked as an entrypoint, according to the barricade plan, are not enterable. this sucks.
