Déjà Vu

This is interesting. My hometown also suffered a widespread and devastating fire, although it was a year later. Who could have thought this up?--Bishop Vagancia I 00:17, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Ha. And in fair Ankansas, too (see: The Arkham Sisters). What a coincidence.--Nallan (Talk) 02:00, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Wow. I have many Aussie friends, but you are the first Australian I know to have displayed recognition for even the domestically overlooked Natural State. I usually have to explain that Arkansas is full of rednecks (what Aussies call "bogans") and is often seen by United States Americans the way Australians see Tasmania. In short, I'm impressed that you are familiar with a globally obscure area. But that is a cool coincidence. Spooky, if you ask me. How many towns had an obliterating fire around the same time about 95 years ago? Few, I'm sure. Even the description is similar, albeit less silly.--Bishop Vagancia I 04:21, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Ah the magic of ALiM and the Great Fire have entranced yet another soul!! Let this serve as a warning to others! Lest ye not fall for her and join the ranks of the worshippers of yonder fire! --xoxo 07:06, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't know about that... but why isn't Blackman Drive on the Holy List? Surely it's amusing enough.--Bishop Vagancia I 08:26, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh but I think you'll find it is! ;) --Nallan (Talk) 02:36, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Nice try. You added that like two hours ago. You've surely got them all, now. Can I use the compiler's template because I found one?--Bishop Vagancia I 02:53, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I insist that you do! Although you should contribute more on the talk page! --xoxo 04:56, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the invitation!--Bishop Vagancia I 06:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC) (P.S. TISM rocks!)

Limbs Lost

I lost both me legs in the Great Fire. Lost all me chickens too. 'Twas a terrible tragedy, lost me wife and three kids too. Bless ye fer your work and curse that damned list. Damn it to hell! *lapses into senseless rambling*--A crazy old man 05:10, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

More vague history.

Hows this.

One of the reasons the fire spread unchecked was the current state of the fire department. Large businesses and the more kind hearted councilmen maintained private fire departments, but they were all independent and lacked any form of cohesion. When the first flames rose above Malton the first two fire teams on the scene from Headland Street and Cocker Boulevard came to blows over who would extinguish the blaze. Two further teams were sucked into this melee, before the highly effecient fire team 9, sponsored by The Alner Family arrived on the scene with their water pumping carriage.

Some less fortunate firemen paid a higher price for this competitiveness. Members of the Cade Place team, were trapped inside their own building by a number of carts placed there by the ever enthusiastic Getsom Drive Fire Station team, who wanted the glory of fighting the fire to be all theirs. When the fire spread unchecked only 3 firemen survived the buildings destruction.

By this time the fire has spread beyond the initial site and was uncontrollable.

good, but you need to get in the habit of putting more links in your work. Mention specific ALiM fire stations, even bring The Arkham Sisters into it if you wish. ;) --xoxo 06:48, 9 April 2008 (BST)
I like it. This page needs more fleshing out.--Nallan (Talk) 07:10, 9 April 2008 (BST)
Cool I will. I'll also try and dig out a photo from gangs of new york of firefighters fighting. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:59, 9 April 2008 (BST)
Better? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 12:41, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Nice. I like.--Nallan (Talk) 11:56, 12 April 2008 (BST)

So the team from Headland Drive, founded in 1934, traveled back in time and fought a fire that took place 22 years ago! I've uncovered a cover-up!--Pestolence(talk) 02:35, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

That's ALiM for you ;) It's all part of the experience. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.--xoxo 02:42, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
