By the way, While "thing" is stated to be a generalized unit, from the examples given for clarification I wonder: Is a "thing", by convention, generally assumed to be a large quantity of fish that have been eaten (or perhaps are in the process of being eaten)? For instance, if I'm asked "Did you see that thing?" can I safely replay: "Yeah, that guy sure ate a lot of fish"? --Rgon 19:25, 10 May 2007 (BST)
