Talk:I GO SOLO

If the audience is wondering, I briefly changed the game's profile pages so that the "group" entry linked to the relevant Wiki page (even if it didn't exist). I thought it'd be a good way to emphasise groups and encourage uniform formatting of their names in profiles, but it looks like this was rather a bad idea, if two capslocking people have clicked through and created pages immediately.

I've gone back to linkless, might look at scraping a list of existing groups and only linking those, or something. --Kevan 23:55, 4 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Maybe you could allow <a> tags in the group section? It'll let groups advertise their wiki page on their profile, and keep the majority of the caps-lockers out. At least it will save you the trouble of compiling a list of known groups. --Raelin 00:23, 5 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Eh, I hope you don't give up on integrating the groups. It's worth it. Player/Player interaction makes a great game, but you obviously already know that. --Radoteur 01:48, 5 Nov 2005 (GMT)
It may be possible to harvest the Category:Survivor Groups and Category:Zombie Groups pages via script each day to get an up-to-date list of the various groups available. This makes it important to ensure that groups are listed on these pages, but the onus has always been on player groups to do this anyway... -- Odd Starter 12:45, 7 Nov 2005 (GMT)
