Comments on the Mockridge Heights Barricade Plan

Old Barricade Plan

Hi guys, good to see another group taking an interest in The Mock! I did up a bit of a barricade plan on the Mockridge Heights talk page. The only variences from UBP was that the Shuttle Building and Boyland Bank being designated entry points, Ewer Auto Repair being designated EHB. The only reason for the changes was that we'd already set up the Shuttle Building as an entry point for the revive point. Ewer would be just as good, we'd just need to notify the residents in the Shuttle Building, and move them over to Ewer. You've got the Parker Building as VS, instead of the Boyland. I havn't been down there for a while, so I don't know how they're set up. I just choose Boyland as that corner needed an entry point, the Parker does just as well -- boxy T L PA DA 04:18, 26 August 2006 (BST)

Hi Boxy, sorry it took me a while to check back here. Thanks for your quick response! Shouldn't have missed your plan the first time around. Since Shuttle was an established entry point, I switched it back and made Ewer EH(there's another VSB Auto Repair Shop nearby anyhow). With respect to Parker vs. Boyland, those designations reflected their barricade levels at the time I was set up this version. As you say, it's not really crucial so I may leave that one. The other real difference is that this version adds a few more non-resource VSBs - we're seeing a lot of low-level people without freerunning in town these days, so we wanted to give them some safer places to sleep. -- Iluliaq 11.Sept 2006
Thanks Iluliaq, sounds like a good plan. I'll change the Mock talk page to point here -- boxy T L PA DA 11:39, 16 September 2006 (BST)

Seems like a good plan. The fire station seems to be a favorite spot for zombies to ransack, so care may be needed to keep its barricade levels up. Any thoughts on this? -- pdeq 4:57, 16 July 2007.

This Old Man has semi-retired a couple of blocks from Alphege and has spent tremendous amounts of time and effort trying to keep the hospital running.... At first we few intrepid survivors in this seeming "no-man's land" border area went as far as bringing the cades regularly DOWN to VSB to accomodate UBC... but the reality of the past 4 months is that keeping Alphe VSB just makes it easier for the zeds to rip the building apart.... They do this on a regular basis (even the ferals) which results in the locals overcading and folks finding the hospital inaccessible....

The above is now complicated with the seeming attentions of DEM(?) recently coming into the area and persistently spraypainting alternative instructions.... The lastest "repaint" directed people to this site....

So, as relatively long-time resident and planning to stay permanent retiree to the Brooks-Mock border region, please consider an Old Man's plea to change Alphege to EHB with a notation to enter through the Saturley Building in Brooksville (next door to both Alphege and the Dollen Revive Point).... We've easily maintained Saturley at VSB (non-resource) and no-one's objected since our arrival.... We also keep directions posted at Dollen for entry into Saturley (when the DEM hasn't recently changed them)....

The reality of Alphege is that, when it gets attacked, it will either fall quickly due to VSB and ruin status, or the panic button gets hit and it's overcaded.... Either way, enforcing VSB on Alphege is keeping the hospital more out of business than in... and that's not good.... Tai Tao Ren 15:37, 3 August 2008 (BST)

Newbie Central

I have changed the barricade plan so that an area of non-TRP buildings are VSB. This is the way that the Mock usually is, for quite a while after the latest horde passes though, anyway. It seems to encourage new survivors, and give them a place to hide out after revivification -- getadog talkteh rulz 09:22 28 November 2009 (BST)

New Barricade Plan

The 57th Overlanders being apparently the only group still active in Mockridge, and finding the existing barricade plan somewhat wanting, have devised a new barricade plan. Unless stated otherwise below, it is recommended that all buildings are maintained at EHB. Veneke 21:50, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Entry Points

Club Androwes, Chaffie Library, the Naper Building, Junkyard 41,65, Moxham Bank, the Kening Motel, St. Ninian's Church, the Bowdich Building.

TRPs

All to remain at VSB, with exception of Alphege General Hospital, Ashley Auto Repair, Ewer Auto Repair and Strutt Towers.
