I noticed there hasn't been any posting about the recent changes in the NecroTech Buildings search finds: How much have the inclusion of books in the search rate made it harder to find syringes? Any clues or just rumor? --MorthBabid 21:36, 5 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Well, I was until the change able to find about 8 syringes on 50 AP. Now I'm lucky if I get 3 syringes on 50 AP. Meh. It's slowing me drown drastically, not sure if anyone else is feeling the effects the same way or if I'm just unlucky, though. -pinkgothic 00:00, 7 Dec 2005 (GMT)
I was only getting 8/50 during that spike in the find rate. My averate has always been about this amount. I DO feel like I'm finding less in general in other buildings though. But that's probably just a run of bad luck combined with lag. --Shadowstar 23:27, 20 Dec 2005 (GMT)

  • Is it just me, or does surgery not offer XP? Of course, the person I used it on was only lacking 10XP (as if they had just bought bodybuilding), but, still. You'd think I'd get at least 5XP... --Bcrogers 17:10, 19 Nov 2005 (GMT)

  • Can we get a bit more info up on the new DNA-extractor uplink coordination that has finally been changed to be time unspecific? We need to define just what 'active specimens' are as well as how the system works. The old DNA Extractor info will probably have to be updated as well, unless I've missed that and are thus a 'tard for posting this. :) --MorthBabid 23:45, 13 Nov 2005 (GMT)
  • My guess is that every zombie now has a DNA-scan timestamp of its own, which resets 24 hours after they were scanned. That way, the server won't get hammered at the notorious "reset time" every day, and the scans will be scattered over the 24-hour day. --Fixen 05:21, 14 Nov 2005 (GMT)
    • I think you're right; if someone hasn't updated the DNA extractor wiki info, I'll do it myself later. MorthBabid 06:36, 14 Nov 2005 (GMT)
      • Additional info would indeed be helpful, as there were a number of proposals on this point. There was some concern that a set 24-hour limit would allow people to keep a pack of "their" zombies for tagging, since only they would know the exact moment that the 24 hours was up. For a review of the proposals, check out the Known Bugs Page, item #1.2 (link goes directly there). --Ethan Frome 13:47, 14 Nov 2005 (GMT)

What, no black T-shirt with the logo? Seems like a no-brainer. So to speak.

Cafepress don't do black T-shirts. Although they're currently in "beta", which seems to mean "giving design instructions but not actually selling them yet". --Spiro 16:29, 13 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Holy wow, what a difference after the recent server upgrade. I mean, the game is actually playable again!  :-) Dossy 15:36, 12 Oct 2005 (BST)

Well, that didn't last long. More donations don't yet seem to be making the difference! --Jim Bubba 13:50, 16 Oct 2005 (BST)

Newspaper headlines

I'm pretty sure the headlines have been in place longer than has been reported. I can't remember reading a newspaper before the update it is mentioned with, yet distinctly remember that headline. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, does anyone know a date when this 'change' occured, if ever? -pinkgothic 22:00, 14 Oct 2005 (BST)

Yeah, those have been around quite a while. The News Stories page lists some of them (including the one about cemetary overcrowding), and it was started in September. I'll remove the comment. --Raelin 22:30, 14 Oct 2005 (BST)

11th November

Isn't this the place for Kevan's news updates only? I'm not even sure if the pdate is accurate, and it's certainly not on the in-game news page. --LouisB3 00:49, 13 Nov 2005 (GMT)

I agree. The news updates here should reflect the updates on Kevan's news page. I'm removing the new update, accurate or not. --Chester Katz 06:02, 13 Nov 2005 (GMT)

July 5 link

The July 5 link goes to a yahoo group that still has somewhat active messages. I clicked on the list of messages and was met with a bunch of spam. Perhaps a short note should be added next to the link that is no longer used. --Emot-siren.gif LABIA on the INTERNET Emot-siren.gif Dunell Hills Corpseman The Malton Globetrotters#24 - You rated this wiki '1'! How you found this I'll never know. Even I haven't trolled this far back in these archives since I worked on Project Timeline like five years ago! I'll add a small note. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 13:53, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
