Barricade Plan Discussion

I have some reservations on this plan. While it certainly has enough locations, the center of town has no entryways. One of the goals of the UBP is to have at least one entryway for any 9 block section. That isn't always possible when balancing all considerations, but in this case I think it certainly is. Unless there is some specific reason for the Travers Building (26, 63) to be VSB, I would recommend simply redesignating that location to EH and setting one of the buildings in the center as an entryway. Further I'd make one of the Auto Repairs VSB. ... Hmm, so perhaps switch 26,63 & 23,64 and 22,67 & 23,66? --Gilant talk|DEM 14:30, 14 October 2006 (BST)

I've changed the central railstation to VSB since local survivors are maintaining it. This burb is prone to overcading. ALL the resource buildings are EHB; including the two Hospitals a single block apart. And all this within 12 blocks of a very secure and stable Mall... a plan is nice, but useless if it isn't implemented. --Raystanwick 12:02, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

A Warning to Travelers- the map above DOES NOT reflect the actual situation in NB. --Raystanwick 12:02, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

On The Ground Observations

The core is under pressure and Julies Hospital is precarious to overnight in. The southern hospitals have taken up the slack and St Jo's is to be maintained @ EHB while St Bruno's will be maintained @ VS+2 level for non FRs until further notice. --Jake T Weber 00:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Due to 2 zed jokers who are constantly breaking into Bently's and squatting the Olney Militia will be 'cading this building to EHB until further notice. For non-free runners please use one the Autos found in the SE of North Blythville. --Jake T Weber 21:46, 14 August 2008 (BST)

Hello Jake T Weber & Olney Militia. I wanted to let you know that a group of DEM is in the area to help with all these ruined buildings in N Blythville. We will revive at Male BLVD. Our people will work to help you keep Judge PD & St Brunos VS+2. As of now Judge slightly overcaded at HB & St Brunos is ruined, yet we hope to have that rectified shortly. Look forward to working with you. User:Seryna 06:28, 03 June 2008 {PST)

Judge PD is now being caretakered by the Olney Militia and will be kept @ VS+2. St Jo's is being kept @ EHB while St Bruno's & Neots Hospitals maintain their VS+2 status. Bently's Auto is @ VS+2 so North B has a full compliment of resource buildings for non-freerunners. --Jake T Weber 01:16, 20 May 2008 (BST)

Warning all PD's are caded beyond VS+2 now. The O.M will try to keep Judge PD @ VS+2 as both Herbert & Dear St are under TZH control. Zed numbers have evaporated now thanks to all involved, but we still have small malingers making break-ins in the central sector.--Jake T Weber 20:05, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

We've got a vendetta zed horde breaking into the main resource buildings. This group has slowly increased it's numbers and therefore it is only now making the burb slightly uncomfortable to live in. It is advised to keep away from the bulk of the marauders in central sector and move out of harms way to the borders for the time being. Be also aware that cade levels are haphazard and that some building may appear ruined but they are not enterable is this due to piñata strategy the zeds are using --Jake T Weber 23:18, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

St Jo's Hospital is under a sustained attacked and is therefore deemed untenable to hold as a VS+2 hospital. The O.M will from now on be keeping the building @ EHB until further notice. Non free runners are asked to find other VS+2 Hospitals located in the burb. --Jake T Weber 21:33, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Lucky that BB2 went elsewhere the burb is now having a quiet time. Most resource buildings are lit but entry points & VS+2 buildings are still being overcaded. Knowles Cinema is overcaded with the warehouse 1W at present @ VS. The Olney Militia is maintaining the level tags and informing players to abide by these cade levels or move to EHB buildings. Team Zombie Hardcore are maintaining the PDs except Judge although Herbert PD is not @ the right cade level of VS+2 but @ HB. We've restored Neot to a VS+2 building but alas it is prone to breakins by feral zeds coming from Mornington. If this continues we shall revert back to maintaining this resource Hospital as an EHB building. The Hazeldine Committee & Olney Militia are maintaining the southern border hospitals @ VS+2 for non free runners' FAK needs. Warning both eastern border schools are not very safe due to breakins by zeds from Brooksville --Jake T Weber 19:11, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

We've been stretched beyond belief since these zeds have been using their new ruin skill! The resident zed group the Kaishakunin & rent a zombie~mob have been busy storming the NT and the central sector. Luckliy the The Hazeldine Committee have taken over the running of the southern border hospitals to help us out with providing them as lit & VS+2 although as per-normal humans still tend to be nervous and over 'cade. But as promised the Olney Militia is making sure that at least 1 resourse building type is @ VS+2 and that entry points around the burb are maintained. So any non-freerunner players beware that central sector is still pretty dangerous and most of the entry points are well known to the zed groups as an easy lunch, best to avoid the center and make your overnight stays on the borders. But if you wake up as an undead Olney Militia's revive points are running smoothly. On another note St Barnabus's church has been for a while an indoor only revive point that Olney Militia has been operating. I have seen the cade levels fixed as EHB on the burb map when in actuality it needs to be open type building. --Jake T Weber 00:00, 27 September 2007 (BST)

The burb is back to normal with most resource buildings being lit. Be advised thou that over cading is still occuring and at the moment non-freerunner access to PDs, autos, Fire Stations & Hospitals are unlikely for the time being. The Olney Militia will endeavour to correct this and provide @ least one of each @ VS+2. The hostiles are pretty much stationed in the center of the burb and still causing frequent break -ins. Worryingly if the barricade plan done by the TZH is actioned it will pretty much bar non-freerunners access to any resource buildings across the entire burb except St Jo's Hospital.--Jake T Weber 15:54, 10 June 2007 (BST)

Tentative steps are being taken to re-cade the buildings and the 'burb is slowly returning to human hands. But expect us humans to be nervous and over cade! Although the Olney Militia are re-issuing the N.B B.P building tags through-out North Blythville, I don't expect the people of N.B to keep to the barricade level tags until the lights are back on and the zed wave attacks have stopped. --Jake T Weber 22:39, 26 April 2007 (BST)

For the moment we are swamped so most buildings are open but a lot of zeds are taking tea brakes after a hard days ransacking buildings, so beware where you sleep! --Jake T Weber 21:17, 14 April 2007 (BST)

Due to constant break ins Neot Hospital has been upped to EHB. Due to the Mall brawl over-spill St Jo's hospital is being kept @ EHB & St Bruno's is being kept @ VS+2 this is a temporary measure until the R.R.F have left the mall. The Olney Militia will try to keep at least one of the southern border hospitals @ VS+2 & fuelled. I took the liberty of entering our RPs on the barricade plan map hope you don't mind Ron --Jake T Weber 22:28, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

The more accurate the information, the better, imo. I appreciate your contributions. Keep up the great work in NB... and the wiki!--Raystanwick 19:17, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

southern Hospitals @ [21,69] and [23,69]

There are 2 Hospitals 1 block apart with a grand total of 6 bodies outside the *15* blocks of and around the Hs- do they both have to be at EHB?!? St Joe's is the closest Hospital to the VERY busy Gee Ave RP, it should be at VSB. The cade plan is of course always open for discussion here, but I think common sense dictates that at least one of these two Hospitals be at VSB. --Raystanwick 10:05, 11 June 2007 (BST)

whyt plaza school @ [25,69}

Wish to move the school up to ehb as there are other vsb buildings nearby and is currently been used as a safe house for my group and the no. of zeds in local area have raised greatly also seems to be a centre of attention for zeds. --WASP Hellion 18:13, 15 march 2009

I don't think The Red Axes are using the school any more so I am going to change it back as Whyt is an VS +2 type building. If the The Red Axes need a HQ there are many other EHB types found on the southern border of NB. --Jake T Weber 23:13, 12 October 2009 (BST)

Update?

The template for the barricade plan was updated but no talk about any changes were made here, so checking to see if any of the local groups were responsible as such. If it was changed unnecessarily you are welcome to revert the changes (since I'm not sure if any of you actually wanted a PD wide open). --Maverick Talk - OBR Praise Knowledge! 404 03:36, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

OK I've had a look at it and to put it mildly why fix something that wasn't broke in the first place. Reverted it back to the original UBP as nobody wants Dear Street PD with no barricades, Travers has always been and entry point, Herbert PD should be @ VSB+2. Julies needs cades to be at EHB.--Jake T Weber 21:02, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
