er, don't we have a thread on the forum for this?--'STER 19:31, 23 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Got a link? (I say this out of curiousity.) The link in the PKer entry is "missing or offlimits" when I click on it. — g026r 00:05, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)
You have a thread on a forum. Not everyone uses it, there's far more traffic to the wiki. However, I would discuss heavily before putting any system in place because you know the troglodytes will come here saying it'll inspire wiki wars. Which it doesn't have to do. This can be made to work, but you have to get a proper system ready. --Daxx 18:05, 4 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Link works fine for me. This will only bring much more drama to the wiki and pretty much allows any personal griefs onto the wiki.--Axe-man 21:27, 15 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Format/Protocol

Right now, this page does not have any accepted "standard usage". Where should one make a new entry, top or bottom? Great, a name is on the list, now what?

Suggestion: New entries should be made at the bottom of the list. This way older entries don't become "forgotten" at the bottom of a potentially long list. Comments? I wanted to get feedback on this before trying to formalize this as an instruction on the page.

Discuss: What about when a bounty has been claimed? I'm thinking that those who "exact justice" from a PKer should move the entry to another page - perhaps a "Bounties Claimed" page - and preferably post a link to a screenshot of that player's death. Helps to make sure that the PKer him/herself isn't just claiming that they were killed. Advise the bounty hunter to post their own in-game name for further verification, but I am heistant to require it, to protect them from further retribution.

Also, we need to decide - is this list ging to be used as a means for one-time retribution, or as a permanent list to warn others, and to pretty much declare a perpetual "open season" on the PKers?

I suggest that this not be used for bounty hunting. Just as a list. Otherwise, the wiki is officially sanctioning bounty hunting. As a list, it's just a list and there's nothing in the rules about that. --Daxx 18:06, 4 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Proposed page instructions

I'm proposing the following text be entered as the leading content of the page. Provided there is no or generally positive comments on this, then I will make this so after a few days. --Reverend Loki 17:59, 20 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Guidelines For Usage

Newest additions should be made to the bottom of the list. In your addition, please include:

  • A screenshot of the PK act, hosted offsite with one of the many image hosting sites available
  • A link to the PKers profile
  • Please sign the entry!

Also, you may include other useful information, such as:

  • When the attack took place
  • Where the attack took place - name of building, suburb, and GPS coordinates if available
  • A description of the event - facts only; a dramatic storytelling is not necessary

Image Hosting Options

The following list is provided as a convenience only. Please use one of these sites, or a site like it, to host your images. Do not host images on the wiki for the purpose of entries on this page!

Templatizing

We need to make this page like the Suggestions page- standardized reports, open rebuttals, etc. People willing to make this a rule, and enforce it (as it is on the Suggestions page), would be nice. Slicer 07:21, 21 Dec 2005 (GMT)
