Richmond Hills Barricade Plan Proposal

Richmond Hills only has 45 locations that can be barricaded. Some of these are located in small "clusters" separated by streets that require the inclusion of muliple entryways for safe travel.

To my knowledge, Richmond Hills does not have a formal barricade plan. I'd like to open up some discussion on creating one with the following suggestions, keeping in mind support of the UBP.

This plan allows for 18 VSB+2 locations...a little more than 1/3 of the total locations that can be barricaded, with the remaining 27 to be kept at EHB. It also creates multiple entryways near Richmond Hills' posted RP, Scanlon Crescent. This creates a safe environment that is still friendly towards the recent influx of new players to the game.

Details are as follows:

- All junkyards (6) kept at VSB+2. (good entryways - can't be ransacked and contain useful items for low levels)

- All warehouses (3) kept at VSB+2. (can be ransacked, but also contain useful items for low levels, including the occasional fuel can - also well placed for entries)

- All non-NT Office Buildings (4) and Towers (1) kept at VSB+2. (well placed for entryways - unimportant resource-wise...Bungay Towers, Rhoades Bldg, Lumber Bldg, Stuart Bldg, Froom Bldg)

- Wood Grove Fire Station kept at VSB+2. (resource - the only Fire Station in Richmond Hills)

- Carle Street Police Dept kept at VSB+2. (resource - the only PD in Richmond Hills)

- St. Mark's Hospital kept at VSB+2. (resource - one of two Hospitals in Richmond Hills)

- Lockwood NT Building kept at VSB+2. (resource - one of two NT's in Richmond Hills)

All remaining locations (banks:2, arms:2, factories:3, cinemas:6, clubs:3, museums:2, rail stations:3, libraries:1, motels:2 and churches: 1) kept at EHB, including:

- St. Francis's Hospital kept at EHB. (on the Eastonwood border...high risk resource)

- Laimbeer NT Building kept at EHB. (also on the Eastonwood border...high risk resource)

Club Beastall, the phone mast for Richmond Hills, is included as an EHB location.

Again - this is not a mandate...it's for discussion, and at least offers a starting point to getting the suburb a bit more organized. --Griff 21:48, 25 June 2007 (BST)

I'll create a crappy image version of what you just said for those of us who can't be arsed cross-referencing the map :P. I shall return with a photoshop creation. --dudemeister 00:01, 2 July 2007 (BST)
Aite, so photoshop isn't working. <depression> --dudemeister 09:35, 2 July 2007 (BST)
Three cheers for the BP generator - I've reposted this proposal + graphical plan here. -- Fingersmith 17.July.2007 11:41 BST

Description

This is a preliminary barricade plan for Richmond Hills, based on Grifflik's proposal above. It is intended to be in accordance with the revised Uniform Barricading Policy, with the following exceptions:

  • Laimbeer NT and St. Francis's Hospital are designated EHB, due to their location on the insecure Eastonwood border. (St. Mark's Hospital and Lockwood NT remain VSB+2.)

As a general mnemonic, junkyards, warehouses, office buildings and towers are all VSB safehouses.

Ongoing feedback to deal with the evolving situation and the needs of different groups is welcome, particularly from Richmond Hills residents; any reasonable suggestions made on the talk page here or in the brainstock discussion thread will be taken into account. Please tag the tinyurl (tinyurl.com/yr5eya) around the suburb to get the word out!

Updates

Factory [34,32] has been changed to VSB to assist in the maintaining the Scanlon Crescent RP, while warehouse [36,31] has been changed to EHB. --Griff 12:24, 21 July 2007 (BST)

Due to consistent attacks, the Lockwood NT [39,32] has been changed to EHB (at least temporarily). Access must now be gained via free-running from locations in neighboring Ketchelbank. --Griff 18:22, 4 August 2007 (BST)

I kindly ask that the Rhoades Building be made EHB due to its my groups HQ.--Doctor Oberman 02:40, 27 September 2007 (BST)

Said group is no longer active in the suburb. Rhoades remains designated as VSB. --Griff 02:42, 2 August 2008 (BST)
Said group has returned to the area. Rhoades cade status reverted to EHB per original request. --Griff 22:31, 14 September 2008 (BST)

In view of current suburb climate and recent updates, Scanlon Crescent [36,33] has become too difficult to maintain as the suburb RP by DEM members in the area. The RP has been officially moved to Shehan Boulevard [37,36]. Requests made on the DEM Revive Tool receive priority service as staff and supply allow. --Griff 02:42, 2 August 2008 (BST)

As the RP has been moved, factory [34,32] an warehouse [36,31] has been reverted to their original status of EHB and VSB, respectively. --Griff 20:57, 10 August 2008 (BST)

In view of recent events, Wood Grove Fire Station has been changed to EHB with the Junkyard 1 SE as an entry point.--Robbie McGregor 13:52, 21 July 2011 (BST)

Withy Hotel and Hemmins Cinema have been updated to EHB.--Robbie McGregor 04:31, 27 July 2012 (BST)
