Question: where do the spammed suggestions go? I am fairly new to getting involved here, and it seems a lot of times suggestions get spamminated in only a few hours. I would find it easier to see what makes it spam if I could see the suggestions that were shot down. Yes, I have looked at the FAQs, but I think it would make it clearer if I could see the spammed ones. Thanks for your help. --Nosimplehiway 00:51, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Kitchen Knives/Large Scalpels

Timestamp: Lord of the Pies 21:17, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Type: Item Search Percentage Modification
Scope: Knives, People, Knives in People
Description: It stands to reason that the majority of hotels and motels have kitchens of one sort or another, and therefore also kitchen knives. Whilst the Melee Weapons page does state that Knives are able to be found in Motels, it says nothing about Hotels. Therefore, I propose that Kitchen Knives (if you couldn't tell from that, they'd just be regular Knives) be able to be found in Hotels at a search rate of 2.5%. In that same vein, Large Scalpels (again, in the game just regular Knives) should be able to be found in Hospitals at a search rate of approximately 4%. In the game both weapons would just be called Knives, except when you find them, where the message would read Searching the hotel you find a kitchen knife or Searching the hospital you find a large scalpel.

  1. Aieeeee! Are there not already large scalpels in hospitals? There are in Infirmarys, I know that. --Funt Solo Scotland flag.JPG 21:21, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
  2. Kitchen knives can already been found in hotels and motels, so I'll consider this a vote on scalpels replacing newspapers, in hospitals. (And retroactively ignore my own vote!) --Kevan 21:29, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
  3. keep If "the Man" is taking the time to vote, then I'm going to be on the same side. Asheets 22:28, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
That wasn't really a vote; me voting on something because I wanted it to pass would be ridiculous. That just seemed an easy place to leave a neutral comment. --Kevan 01:00, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Quite! It'd be like God saying, "Hm, yes, you're right!" Daniel Hicken 19:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
  4. Keep - Against or not, Kevan has spoken. Neutral or not, we're like sheeps to the shepherd. --Wikidead 01:29, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
  5. Keep - Upon closer inspection, I've decided to change my vote. The idea is the same, but the suggestion people are referring to as a dupe has 1 difference: the search rate is different. Is 2% versus 4% really a difference? I don't know, but it's enough to make me not consider this a dupe. --Reaper with no name TJ! 01:46, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
  6. Ambivalent - Keep, kill, whatever. Daniel Hicken 19:42, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

  1. SPAM - Newspapers are bad enough.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 22:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
  2. Dupe - As stated, they can already be found in Hotels and Motels, the remaining suggestion is a dupe of this. --IrradiatedCorpse 22:54, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
  3. Dupe - As above. Although something tells me that at long last the original might be implemented... --Reaper with no name TJ! 00:03, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
  4. Pretty much exact dupe of the above PR'ed suggestion. Would be nice to see this in the game though. Knives can be very useful for starting survivors, if they can find one; and hospitals are probably somewhere they already search. --ExplodingFerret 01:36, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
  5. Dupe - that has already been peer accepted... but newbies want fireaxes, not knives, anyway -- boxy T L PA DA 07:40, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Re - I suggest that you take a look at this. Knives are better if a player has none of the skills on the Hand to Hand tree. Even if a player has Hand to Hand combat it only takes 4 more AP to kill a zed with a Knife than an Axe (but the point is moot, as both take more than 50AP). The only new players who want Fire Axes over Knives are Firefighters. --Lord of the Pies 16:21, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
      Re - I stand corrected! -- boxy T L PA DA 11:52, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
