Proposed Tapton Barricade Policy

It having been a month since the last alteration on the plan, the Proposed Tapton Barricade Plan has become the actual Tapton Barricad Plan, and was moved to the main page. Discussion left below for reference. - Krae of The B-Team, 19:59, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I am a member of the Ständige Vertretung, and as such, I have helped keep the barricades for the last few months in the South East quadrant. Our plan always maintained churches (St Piran's, St Cyprian's and St Emelia's) as access points (VSB). It makes sense due to their position and to the fact that you can never close their doors. That allows you to have Osbert Bank and Priestly Auto Repair EHB. Morrall Drive is our main entry point after revives in Dix Place, so it has to stay VSB. Actually, I personally "deconstruct" excessive barricades. The Graiiins people suggested leaving Rugg AR instead of Beville AR as VSB as entry point to the Dobbs NT building, which is fine by my book. St Luke's Hospital, I personally like EHB but I understand that as a resource building, we should try to make access easy to as many people as possible. Jgbustos 19:29, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Resource buildings were left VSB to allow low-level survivors and (for example) scientists without free-running access to key buildings. According to the KBank Barricade Plan, Dobbs is VSB itself, and as such, doesn't need a local entry-point. Beville was chosen just to better space out the weak buildings, but if StäV wants Rugg instead of Beville, that's a small change to make... - Krae 08:07, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
      • IMHO, whoever came up with the Kemspterbank Barricade Plan made a mistake. Since searching for syringes became more successful in powered up NT buildings, EHB is the way to go. I don't know what the Kbank plan says, but the residents actually keep the Dobbs NT building EHB and it's likely to stay like that regardless of the plan. And please remember that the StäV counts on churches as entry points: please swap Osbert Bank with St Piran's and leave St Emelia's as VSB. Jgbustos 09:34, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
        • NT buildings, being resource buildings, are left at VSB as a courtesy to players who have not purchased Free-Running yet. While considered one of the standard skills by many veteran players, and a priority by organized groups with a safehouse, it is not on the Scientist's skill tree and often not a priority for medics. I will put all the churches to VSB in the Southeastern Quadrant, but many of the resource buildings down there will need to stay VSB as well. -- Krae, 18:33, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Made changes (Krae, 19:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)):

  • Beville up to EHB, Rugg down to VSB (by recommendation of StäV and Graiiins)
  • St. Piran's down to VSB, Osbert up to EHB (by request of StäV)
  • St. Emelia's down to VSB. (by request of StäV)
  • St. Luke's up to EHB - Swithun is within 3 AP, per UBP guidelines. (by recommendation of StäV and heavy-target considerations)

Note: Due to a recent surge in zombie attacks on the locale, Haag is now EHB at all times. --Pyrranha 03:11, 9 April 2007 (BST)
