Disgruntled Heroes

We are wondering if you'd be interested in an alliance. I was passed along the message in the Bubcar towers by one of your memebers that you were interested in talking with the leaders of the Disgruntled Heroes Ive taken a look at your Wiki, and we honestly had no idea you all were even in the area until the Bubcar Towers contact. -Godcheese 07:01, 26 March 2006 (BST)

As I write this, an Alliance has been arranged. But I thought that I should update the page anyway. --Jim Jacobs 23:06, 14 April 2006 (BST)

Recruitment Page

Your ad is about to expire, please update within 48 hours to keep it on the recruitment page.

Thank You,

--John Rove 21:52, 1 April 2006 (BST)

Vinetown Survivors Association

Hey. We are always willing to ally ourselves with fellow survivor groups. Would you be intrested in working together? -HighlandZHunter

M.A.I.M would be moderatley interested in such an alliance. I shall confer with my colleagues as to whether an alliance would be put into operation. --Jim Jacobs 20:56, 12 April 2006 (BST)

The Society has declined your request for an alliance, based mainly on your slightly arrogant attitude concerning the actions other groups, as has been gleaned from your discussion page. --Lord of the Pies 23:04, 14 April 2006 (BST)

The V.R.U

Hello, I am DarkShines, member of Disgruntled Heroes, and Leader of the Vinetown Revivication Unit. I want to know if you at the M.A.I.M guys would like to forge an alliance with us. We don't have any members yet, but I would hope we do get some more people onboard and we become sucessful.

And no fear, we aren't hear to shove any crap like "VINETOWN BARRICADING PLAN" down your throats. We are just here to play the game and have fun. DarkShines

Sounds pretty darn good to me! I believe Lord of the Pies is in favour of more syringes too. So, yes, as one of the three Directors of M.A.I.M., I accept your proposal. Syringes for all! --Jim Jacobs 23:04, 16 April 2006 (BST)

Alright, I added you guys to our alliance list. Unfortunately as of now we can't be too much service, as we have no members, but we should soon. DarkShines

Hey guys, me again, informing you that our communication will be taking place on the Disgruntled Heroes forum, and the VRU's dedicated section (Titled NecroTech Alliance) can be accessed by guests, so if you guys want to keep tabs on us, you know where we are. --DarkShines 07:55, 7 May 2006 (BST)

Applause

MAIM... I would like to applaud you. Your recent refusal of the VSA delights us, the Disgruntled Heroes. We have severed ties with the VSA and would like to further the alliance between us. If you like, I can be reached in AIM at 'Evil God Cheese' -Godcheese 00:52, 17 April 2006 (BST) Leader of the Disgruntled Heroes

I don't have AIM and I'm not sure whether either of the other two leaders do, though I support furthering the alliance between our groups. --Lord of the Pies 20:02, 20 April 2006 (BST)

If you have Yahoo I can serve as a contact between DH and M.A.I.M, But I think Godcheese has a YIM username as well. I can also be found under MSN under itoilet9@gmail.com, and Yahoo under itoilet9. DarkShines

Army of Dave

I was wondering if you would be interested in an alliance with the Army of Dave. I was alerted of your presence through our alliance with the Disgruntled Heroes. The varied groups of Vinetown need to stick together. Troy Harker 15:02 UTC April 20, 2006

I agree. I'll speak with the two other high-ranking members of the Society, but I don't doubt that they'll support an alliance. --Lord of the Pies 19:59, 20 April 2006 (BST)

Sounds good to me. I vote yes. --Jim Jacobs 21:41, 22 April 2006 (BST)

Maybe us three groups should form the Defense of Vinetown. As I can see, the VSA is doing absolutely nothing. They are leeching off their allies' victories. I know the AoD was probably supplying revives to Bhore, and defebding Caunt St. and the area. I haven't seen the VSA members doing squat.

As I see it, this alliance would have no half-assed barricade plans, or anything of the sort. We would just survive.DarkShines

I'd agree with that. It also seems that a new group has entered Vinetown (the Acid War Templars) and they seem to think that they own the Cathedral...just after members of the Society re-barricaded it. --Lord of the Pies 20:12, 23 April 2006 (BST)

I whole heartedly agree with being allies with the Army of Dave. And maybe we should have a little chat with the Acid War Templars, what do you think lads? --George Redebury 20:59, 23 April 2006 (BST)

My opinion is that if they don't leech of our victory by all means they are welcome. If they start claiming territory is theirs and they worked for it, then yeah, we should talk. This is just my opinion as an individual, I'll talk with Godcheese about it if he ever gets online. EDIT:

"April 24th: The Templars start the Cleansing of the Cathedral and thus beginning The Crusade." I recant that. They never did anything of the sort, that was credited to you guys.-DarkShines

I'm not saying that they're leeching off our victories, I'm saying that they want to use the Cathedral as a base ("operate from the St. John's Cathedral."). I presume that what that also means is that they'll be tagging graffiti inside, as most, if not all groups do with their HQs, and graffiti is essentially the only way of marking out a building as your own. It is, in effect, taking over the Society's HQ (or at least, we plan to use it as a HQ, once we get everyone organised) and the tags of both our groups, which identify it as something that we have control over. What I meant when I said that members of the Society had re-barricaded the Cathedral was that we're going to defend it and now this new group thinks that it's their HQ.

I don't mind if they're in Vinetown, what I'm concerned about is the fact that they're taking our HQ away from us. --Lord of the Pies 22:55, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Yeah, I fully agree. We didn't like the fact that the VSA, when we allied with them, stamped all our territories as theirs. And they forced their barricade plans on our bases, no less.

The VSA is pretty much non-existant now, I don't see any of the members of it anywhere around Vinetown...

If they just wanted to stay at St John's, I could see no problem, but it is clear they are trying to say it is their own base. So yes, we need to clear this up with them immediately. --DarkShines

I'd be willing to compromise if the Disgruntled Heroes don't mind having only one tag in the Cathedral. If that's the case then the Society can tag two corners and the Templars can tag the last one. However, what I don't want is the Templars tagging over all four corners. --Lord of the Pies 23:35, 23 April 2006 (BST)

On my way to our current position I passed through the Cathedral and it was empty with some of the doors open. I don't know if the Templars were taken out or what but they may not be a problem any more. --George Redebury 20:37, 24 April 2006 (BST)

Having checked their wiki page, it seems that they've taken back what they said before, so I don't particularly mind their presence now. --Lord of the Pies 22:18, 24 April 2006 (BST)

The Shining Ones

The zombie group the Shining ones are headed for vinetown to attack Mitchem. Obviously we need to put up a viable defense and give them some hell. You guys got any ideas? The DH and AoD are already planning.

Just thought I'd drop a note on this, so you guys can be prepared. --DarkShines 01:06, 26 April 2006 (BST)

Thank you Darkshines, we are readying our positions as we speak. I took a look around and I cant seem to see much sign of a seige yet but it will probably get worse as more arrive. --George Redebury 19:39, 26 April 2006 (BST)

They are assaulting Mitchem Mall as we speak. We have had a few breaches already.

So far, we have had 2 deaths...we hope to keep the casualties low. I know we have little chance to win this, but, fighting this out is better than surrendering... --DarkShines 22:51, 26 April 2006 (BST)

There are about ten zeds around the Cathedral that I know of, but almost none actually outside. There have been no breaches here yet, though obviously we're further on in their little plan. We have two people out of harm's way in case we need mass revives, so we should be alright there, but there are less than twenty people in here and we're bound to die when the Shining Ones arrive. Though, like you said, it's better to fight...

Sorry that we can't really spare anyone, but two of our members are currently inactive and a further two aren't full members yet (they're only around level five). In case you need a somewhat safer building to shelter in, M.A.I.M.'s buildings should be at Very Strong (at least the Daniels Museum is). That's about all we can do to help, really.

EDIT: On the other hand...seven of my guys will be at the Mall. That's all I can spare without risking everyone dying. --Lord of the Pies 16:24, 27 April 2006 (BST)

If all you did was use all your AP to keep the barricades up, hell, that would be a great help. Most of us don't have the AP to be dropping zombies and managing the barricades...

They are being really slow getting into the mall. I have a baaaad feeling about this. --DarkShines 01:23, 28 April 2006 (BST)

We have at least four people dead right now and I saw two people (not ours) PKed in the last 24 hours. The Cathedral has been breached, though we should be able to get everyone revived within a few days. --Lord of the Pies 16:30, 28 April 2006 (BST)

82 zombies outside the mall now. two of us have died already, and we may have to fall back to the surrounding buildings and let them disperse. The barricades have been maintaining fairly well, though. --DarkShines 03:59, 29 April 2006 (BST)

Philosophe Knights

Though I am not a member of our branch in Vinetown (being, myself, far more interested in Old Arkham), I believe I am the first of the order to have seen your post on our talk page. We will need to discuss our policy toward you group amongst ourselves, for you are a special case; we share the same goals, but in different manners. You fight from a more passive stance, while we seek to not only protect the learned, but eliminate the ignorant. Really, you are to us as Martin Luther King, Jr. is to Malcom X. When we've come to a decision, you will be informed.--Wifey 04:58, 1 May 2006 (BST)

Note -- The Philosophe Knights do not execute those residing in libraries, museums, and schools. This seems to be a rather positive connection to your work. [M] 03:34, 2 May 2006 (BST)
I would agree; however, I was in a police station searching for ammo when I was killed. My safehouse at that moment was a museum a block South, however I had no ammo for any of my weapons. --Lord of the Pies 16:18, 2 May 2006 (BST)

Defense Of Vinetown alliance

Hey, guys, long time, no see.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about possibly forming an alliance group, much like the VSA, except this time, not forcing any policy down anyone's throat. I wanted to call it the Defense Of Vinetown, and if demanded, we could have a forum where everyone has equal rights and everyone can talk, instead of visiting others' forums to talk with them, etc.

This way, we can keep in better communication with eachother, and work out any differences, if any exist.

I'll say this again, if this does take off, it won't be anything like the VSA, at all. The DoV will give credit where it is due, much unlike the VSA who took credit for their allied group's actions.--DarkShines 04:54, 14 May 2006 (BST)

Good to hear from you chaps again. I shall discuss this with my comrades, but I have high hopes for the DoV becoming a reality. --Jim Jacobs 23:04, 16 May 2006 (BST)

Update: Sorry for the delay, but I have conferred, and we at M.A.I.M. are all for the DoV. --Jim Jacobs 22:41, 30 May 2006 (BST)

Section XIII

We at Section XIII would like to thank the M.A.I.M. Society profusely for working so hard to restore the cathedral to it's former glory! I have one request, however. The Northeast corner of the cathedral has been deemed the final point of the pilgrimage to join our order, and as such, would your group please leave the Section XIII Tag in place? I would also eventually like to discuss an alliance... Pope7 22:26, 21 May 2006 (BST)

I had noticed that a while back...after checking the wiki I left it alone, though one of the members of M.A.I.M. in the Cathedral must have sprayed over it. I'll put a request not to tag over it on M.A.I.M.'s article. --Lord of the Pies 07:49, 22 May 2006 (BST)

I haven't noticed if your group has a board or not. If you'd like, I'd be happy to host a PHPBB2 forums for you. Contact me. Pope7 01:30, 24 May 2006 (BST)

Could I request a revive? I've been sitting at Dinovan for 5 days, and i've been killed over a dozen times. doop de dooo..... Pope7 05:43, 1 June 2006 (BST)

All of our active members are alive, so I didn't see any reason to check the revive point. However, I'll see what I can do. --Lord of the Pies 17:23, 2 June 2006 (BST)

MDK

MDK regrets to inform you that we will not stop claiming turf as our numbers grow. It is simply not feasible. The Chatwin Library next to our HQ is MDK noob HQ. Furthermore, MDK members tend to tag anything they berricade or defend regularly. Our tagging policy on our wiki may better help characterize our stance. Other than the tagging dissagreement, MDK welcomes a non-formal alliance with M.A.I.M. The best way to cotact us is at the Shyre Cinema or on our fourm. We have a cash of syringes, so if you need a quik revive contact us somehow.

You guys should work out a compromise here...We need all the help we can get in Vinetown and fighting amongst ourselves isn't a good thing to do... --DarkShines 06:43, 22 May 2006 (BST)

The simple fact is that MDK can't just tag over any land that they want to, because there are other groups in this suburb. The Chatwin Library had already been tagged by me before it was the HQ for your newer members and upon returning after the Shining Ones left I didn't find any MDK members, or an MDK tag, as I said on your own discussion page.

Besides which, there's already an MDK tag on the outside, and the newer players aren't exactly likely to have Free Running. --Lord of the Pies 07:47, 22 May 2006 (BST)

do you guys have a forum page or any other discussion board?--SantaCruzer 20:46, 23 May 2006 (BST)

No. --Lord of the Pies 16:18, 24 May 2006 (BST)

It appears there is one MDK and one MAIM person at the Chatwin Library. Methinks it's no one's until someone brings some considerable forces in.

Now the Cathedral is M.A.I.M's as I notice a HUGE MAIM presence there.

Just putting in my two cents.--DarkShines 23:30, 24 May 2006 (BST)

At present there is a joint tag in the Library. The larger numbers of M.A.I.M. members is due to the organization of two different teams, each of which has a separate purpose. --Lord of the Pies 22:37, 27 May 2006 (BST)

Yes. I looked on the UD forums and I made it clear to the MDK that I don't exactly approve of their attitude towards you guys. Hopefully, I would like to work SOMETHING out as infighting is never a good thing. --DarkShines 07:27, 2 June 2006 (BST)

  • MDK laeders aren't on the UD forums, only on the MDK forum and a little on the DH allies forum. An MDK noob(Dr.Ankles) is known to use some other UD forum, and one of his post got us in a little heat. He has been warned not to speek for the MDK clan. I apologise if you took his post or opinions as that of the MDK organization. The post in question can be seen on our forum. The best way to get our group position is from myself SantaCruzer or one of the other leaders (can be reached on the forum)
  • Last i saw the Joint tag was still up. Also, are we still bitching at each other? I thought this argument ended when the joint tag in Chatwin went up. One more thing, MDK would like to invite MAIM to share our radio band 26.33. you can edit the radio wiki to add your group (bulleted)to our frequency. MDK radio is for all survivor groups in the area, MSG is sharing the band with us presently. MDK belives it would be good to have a band for the groups of the 4 corners. Most if not all bands are in use by other clans and malls. MDK was unsatisfied with the area specific bands since none coverd vinetown, crowbank, edgecombe, or pegton. Any way get back to us and let us know what you think. -hopefully as i stated before, the quarlles between MDK and MAIM have ended. Also there are PK'rs in the area, watch your back.

MDK is getting tired of diplomacy and diplomatic issues, so lets put this crapola behind us for a while or for good. lets kill some zeds intstead if infighting as DarkShines said. -laters --SantaCruzer 19:44, 2 June 2006 (BST)

Forum Tag warning

Hey, listen, this is warning to you guys...We got some idiots intent on tagging over group tags to advertise their forum which is called Resensitised. I already had to clean off one of their tags off of DH territory.

Just a heads-up, and if you find out who is behind this, please do tell.--DarkShines 08:24, 30 May 2006 (BST)

Thanks buddy. We'll keep a look out. --Jim Jacobs 22:24, 30 May 2006 (BST)

I had to tag over one of these in the Cathedral earlier. I don't know who did it. --Lord of the Pies 17:21, 2 June 2006 (BST)

On Resensitised the person in charge of tagging Vinetown is named Technerd. If that helps. --DarkShines 21:01, 2 June 2006 (BST)

An Offer.

Hey guys. I am now one of the leaders of the DH. Just thought I'd tell you of the leadership change, get that out of the way.

To the point: Since you seem to have no forum or way out of game to get in contact besides the Wiki it's kind of hard to us to keep in contact. If you guys would use it I would like to set you guys up with a section on the Disgruntled Heroes forum. This would make communication between us easier.

Get back to me on this ;) --DarkShines 05:19, 2 June 2006 (BST)

Heh, we are working on this problem... Thanks for the offer though, and for checking in! Also, what happened to the DoV alliance? Maybe there should be some sort of group forum for it? --Jim Jacobs 13:06, 3 June 2006 (BST)

It was cancelled, because it's main purpose was to help with the territorial issues. We got that hashed out, so it really has no purpose anymore. I'm in agreement about forum, we need a forum for Vinetown, but I want to see if anyone would be up for that, seeing as the VSA went gung-ho and made one, and it only got 3 members. --DarkShines 23:06, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Also, going to reenable guest posting on the DH forum, since Desensitised met it's maker, the attacks may have stopped. The link to it is here: http://z14.invisionfree.com/Disgruntled_Heroes/index.php?act=idx --DarkShines 09:44, 4 June 2006 (BST)

Fine Art of Malton

Hi there, Karloth Vois- leader of The Surrealists here. Couldn´t help but notice we share very much similar aims and an appreciation of Malton`s art.

There has been a database created recently (Fine Art of Malton) and we were wondering if you would like to contribute to it? It´s effectively a system for logging all the museum locations and contents around Malton, but it´s hoped that it will eventually serve to unite many different groups across Malton in their protection of artwork.

Thanks for your time, and I look forwards to hearing from you.

Karloth vois 22:47, 26 June 2006 (BST)

Glad to hear it! Thanks. Karloth vois 1:11, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Current Locations

Where are all the members of the society, I havent had any contact in ages. I have come back to Vinetown for now to check the situation down here.George Redebury 22.14, 30 August 2006 (BST)

I am at the Powys monument, could someone revive me? George Redebury 21.51, 11 september 2006 (BST)

Royal Society of Malton

The intellects of Malton have decided to form a new coalition called the Royal Society of Malton. And we feel, that the MAIM Society would add a great deal to our group. The Royal Society of Malton will be having in-game debates and in-game lectures once there are enough groups. So if you wish to join see our wiki. [1]
