Template talk:Sign

From The Urban Dead Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Usage

Simply type

{{subst:sign|type of edits}} ~~~~

where you want the message to appear, substituting the type of edits (e.g., "comments," "page edits," etc.) for "type of edits."

Example

{{subst:sign|comments}} ~~~~

produces:

Please sign your comments on the wiki. You can do this either by typing ~~~~ (four tildes), or by pressing the http://wiki.urbandead.com/skins/common/images/button_sig.png button in the editing toolbar. Signing your comments in the standard format makes it much easier to identify who has made changes and when, and creates less work for moderators and other wiki users. Thank you. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 17:32, 26 July 2006 (BST)

Discussion

Damn, this isn't really used much. Heck, there are heaps of cool Utility templates and the like that are not really used much at all. We should make a new page detailing them all perhaps? Like a categorization effort? Not simply placing it in the 'utility category. No sir. Like putting them all on the one page and a little explanation text on where they should be used and why. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 12:40, 18 May 2007 (BST)

Hey, I didn't see this before. I made Template:Signature so it looks like my template a dupe to me :( This needs some attention just like what Dux Ducis said --JudeMaverick W!TJ! 12:48, 18 May 2007 (BST)
