The Cartel

A shadowy organisation shrouded in mystery, the existence of The Cartel has never been confirmed. While some Malton residents have been collecting evidence that points to the existence of the group, it has never been officially recognized, and any goals or plans that the group may have are unknown.

[edit] Evidence of The Cartel's Existence

• November 1, 2006 - A small lorry with a clown's face painted on the side crashes into the side of a building in southern Malton. It contains a shipment of crates address to The Cartel. Survivors flock to the crash site to loot the lorry only to be forced inside by a horde of zombies. When the survivors return the lorry is found empty.

• November 27, 2006 - The body of an individual known as vwSnakePlissken is found in western Malton with a briefcase handcuffed to his arm. The briefcase has a clown's face stamped on it and contains numerous documents referring to "The Cartel".

• December 3, 2006 - A survivor, hiding from a zombie horde in Crooketon, overhears two men arguing over a shipment of unidentified material belonging to The Cartel.

• December 22, 2006 - A known PKer is attacked in a building in south west Malton and thrown into the street. Two men approach his body and are overheard congratulating him for his "work", and inform him that The Cartel is pleased with him. One of the men appears to be in a makeshift uniform that is featuring that same clown face that appeared on both the crashed lorry and the briefcase.

A few conspiracy theorists claim that The Cartel is in fact an organisation known as the Chaos Cartel, an organisation formed when a number of Malton's most prominent druglords and gang bosses banded together. The supposed goals of the Chaos Cartel are to bring total chaos to Malton in order to make it easier for them to carry out their business. However, the existence of the Chaos Cartel is equally questionable as that of The Cartel.

A further theory is that The Cartel is a government agency operating in secret in Malton. Some claim that this organization aims to eliminate survivors and zombies alike, others believe that it's goals are to eradicate the zombie threat and restore Malton to it's previous state.

Although these two theories are the most popular, there are countless others, none having yet been proven.
