Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill. Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used. Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

Its concrete cladding was ravaged by the fires that swept through the city in the early days of the outbreak. The trees surrounding it were smaller then, and escaped the flames. Now they face a different threat, but zombies don't seem very interested in ripping trees out of the ground.

It was a non-descript building in a non-descript town, filled with non-descript people going to non-descript jobs. Then they all turned into zombies. It was damaged by fire. The End.

5/30/2009 You are inside the Crawley Building. The building has been very strongly barricaded. Also here are Mavis Cruet (60HP), WhimOrClutters (60HP) and CaptainI (50HP).A portable generator has been set up here.
