Malton Comics Inc, Zombie World®

HISTORY

Malton Comics Inc. can be found at 14,98 on the 4th Floor of the Edbrook Building in Old Arkham. This company started out in 2004 as a small independant Comics studio in a tiny office at the Woodforde Building east of their current location. This was far before the world realised how real the horror was concerning the living dead.

They got rather infamous due to scenes of really explicit violence and gore in their comic. Numerous religious groups and worried parents in and around the Old Arkham area protested heavily against their Zombie World® series. These protests were the spark that lid the fire.

Due to this media attention they saw their printings rise from 2000 copies a month to a booming 10.000 a month!
City Officials never acted against Malton Comics because the case that was formed by the Protest Groups was settled as an example of Artistic Freedom.

It didn't take long before Malton Comics moved to the building next door, the Edbrook Building were they rented the whole 4th Floor. This was early 2005. By this time Malton Comics also printed two new gory series Lilith the Cheerleader and MidKnight. These two series never reached the success Zombie World® had and were taken out of print only after 4 issues.

They decided to fully concentrate on the immense popular Zombie World® and its merchandise.

FICTION BECOMES A GRUESOME REALITY

In the Summer of 2005 the unimaginable happens. Reports of groups of cannibalistic mass murderers flood the local and international news. At first some people in and around Old Arkham believe it's a case of 'copy cat' killings related to the dark and gloomy Zombie World® comic. Mad fans gone wild if you will. It didn't take long before the people realised that this catastrophe wasn't related to any comic.

Soon the whole of Malton was quarantined by the Army and National Guard. Malton got cut out from the rest of the world.

During the first months of this Epidemic Malton Comics Inc. printed numerous pamflets and scattered them through the city. Pamflets containing advice and warnings. They continued with the Zombie World® series 2 months after the Early Outbreaks. Now the storylines they created were a harsh reality, overflowing with anti-Zed propaganda.

They became an 'underground' resistance, giving back hope to the people of Malton through their Zombie World® comic.
