Born to bring light

In early January 2007, during the DORIS war, when interpersonal aggression cast a damning darkness over the suburb of Dulston, this young group - The Electric Light Torchestra - saw the light of the day. Its peaceable members are dedicated to providing this suburb with constant light in every building.

Then in March 2007, the ELT joined forces with the Dulston Alliance in order to work together with them in strengthening the survivor cause that had so far made the NE Corner one of the safest suburbs in all Malton. Together with the other member groups of the Alliance they move forward towards a brighter future. A future powered by dedication... and generators... and obviously fuel too.

The saga of the ELT continued when Dulston was attacked by yet another zombie horde, in August/September 2007. DORIS had returned, and while the Dulston Alliance was busy dealing with them, a zombie horde made up of the LUE, the Infected Swarm, the Undeadites, the DvEM, and several others, launched an all out attack on Dulston. The ensuing battle lasted over two months, with the end result being survivor victory.

After the main zombie horde had left Dulston, and the Dulston Alliance had claimed victory, the ELT had the majority of the suburb powered the next day. Sporadic fighting continues in Dulston, and although the lights may go out, the ELT will always be there to bring them back on again.

Lucid Explanation

Members of the ELT are peaceful towards all fellows. Humans who kill humans are seen as criminals, but shall not be punished by reflecting this crime. The same goes for saboteurs of the city's electrical infrastructure which are considered the number one nuisance of all time. They are the real Dark Side of Malton (though some people refer to them as the DOrk Side).

The ELT has set up a Light Map with the nearly-actual status of powered buildings in Dulston. All survivors are invited to update this map, because the more people who participate the more "real-time" it becomes. The expansion of ELT efforts, meaning our light tours, to other suburbs is currently not under consideration. At the ELT's currently small membership we would not jeopardize our efforts in Dulston by spreading ourselves too thin. However, the ELT intends to perform at the local clubs in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.

Note: As of April 2007, the Whitlock Building near Treweeke Mall is the official HQ.

Group Policies

McZeds "Food" Policy
Members of the ELT respect the hard work performed by the staff at McZeds, but ever since we learned the secret of the secret meat recipe ELT members have decided to pass on eating there. Currently the only location in Dulston serving as a McZeds is Nott Auto Repair.

Although (or precisely because) this group does NOT eat at McZeds™, it supports the use of corpses for what they call "High Quality Processed Fast Food."

Sacred Ground Policy
Members of the ELT consider cemeteries as unofficial revive points, but the cemetery in Dulston is a hard job to maintain since the suburb's northeast corner has an abnormal level of feral zombies. However none of the ELT-members will kill a zombie on a cemetery and will consider reviving one of them there if requested.

This user or group supports the Sacred Ground Policy and acknowledges that all Cemeteries in the city of Malton are considered Revivification Points.

Uniform Barricading Policy
Members of the ELT believe in supporting proper barricading of the suburb. At this time that means following the established barricade plan set forth in Dulston under the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram. This is also an obligation required of all members of the Dulston Alliance.

This User or Group supports the Uniform Barricading Policy by actively maintaining barricades according to local plan or UBP standard.
