[edit] Beginners

• End your turn inside a building that is barricaded; preferably more than lightly.
• Build your character up quickly by searching buildings and attacking zombies.
• Keep searching buildings repeatedly to find items - not just once. Search police departments for ammo and hospitals for first aid kits.

[edit] Intermediate

• Avoid ending your turn at a zombie hotspot (i.e. mall, police department, hospital, necrotech building, fire station).

• Free Runners can not enter heavily barricaded buildings. Enter adjacent buildings. Although you can exit them by clicking an adjacent square.

• Once acquiring the Axe Proficiency skill, an axe is useful to save ammo whilst killing z's. Search your local fire station.

[edit] Advanced

• If you attack but fail to kill a zombie be wary, it may have Scent Trail and retaliate. End your move at least five squares away to deter it.

• Once you have levelled up your human to max, there is little point in going on a killing spree. Look to save AP, store essential goods (ammo, first aid kits, revivification syringes). Keep strong barricades around you.

• Frequently scout the surrounding area to measure zombie activity, and dead body build up. You don't want to be caught off guard.

• Regularly check the forums and the zombie activity tracker for additional research. It may just keep you alive.

• Join a faction, such as The Fortress!
