The Gready Building
The Gready Building at night
Rising into the skyline of West Grayside, the Gready Building is a shining symbol of power, order and hope. Modeled after the magnificent Osaka Castle in Japan, the Gready building is a fortress of reinforced concrete over a framework of reinforced steel. No expense was spared in reproducing the breath-taking facade of Osaka Castle which serves as a perfect disguise for one of the most sophisticated fortresses ever constructed.
Dr Joseph Gready was not only incredibly brilliant but a tad bit eccentric with a touch of paranoia to top it all off. His work in nanotechnology and the subsequent patents made him billions, but he was always afraid that competitors were out to steal his ideas or eliminate him entirely. He needed a safe place to conduct his work in peace. He gathered his connections in both the military and private sectors, applied his own nanotechnology, and with his immense obsession with Japanese culture, he created the Gready Building. A most magnificent building of reinforced concrete and steel housing a sophisticated security and defense system. With hydroponics and a state of the art filtration system, the professor and a staff of over 100 researchers and security personal could be sustained indefinitely.
Not much is known about what happened to the professor or his staff in the days following the zombie outbreak. Elite troops happened upon the enormous structure and after cracking the defenses and gaining entry, found the entire complex deserted. They have since claimed the building as their own headquarters from which they execute their plans to help clean up the zombie apocalypse that has befallen Malton.
This building is to be kept at EHB at all times.
The fully powered and EHB building is now reclaimed. All survivors except Player and Generator Killers are welcomed to get some rest and a bite to eat. --Kyle Matrix 16:05, 03 September 2013 (GMT)
Still at EHB level, and someone has sprayed "Become a Fortress Legend. Join now!" onto a wall. No generator inside. --Axemaniac johnson 05:30, 30 July 2010 (BST)
