Description

AquaBar.jpg

The Knight Arms is the only pub/bar in Santlerville. Despite the fact that Santlerville has five Clubs, this is the only bar in the suburb. This is further evidence of the suburb's cosmopolitan, young-professional population who prefer discos and cabarets as opposed to the more traditional pub setting when going out for a night on the town.

In the years from 2007-2009 the pub was under the protection of the Burchell Arms Regulars, a survivor group from Rolt Heights who used the pub as a local HQ when working with their allies, the Dribbling Beavers in the joint defense of Santlerville. Over the intervening years many epic battles took place in Santlerville, and during these conflicts the BAR utilized the Knight Arms as a staging ground to aid in the defense of Dowdney Mall and other important tactical resource points.

However, in March 2010 the BAR officially released ownership of the pub, as the group's new leadership opted to concentrate their remaining manpower to defend their own suburb. As such, the Knight Arms has fallen back under the jurisdiction of the Dribbling Beavers. The Knight Arms is a pub for the rest of us where fellow drinkers can come along and momentarily forget the horrors of being trapped in a quarantined, zombie-infested city where dead bodies litter the streets and waking up dead the next morning is a constant threat.

Barricade Policy

The Knight Arms is a safe-house for the inebriated and so is maintained at EHB according to the Santlerville Barricade Plan as set out by the local group, the Dribbling Beavers.

The nearest Entry Point is only a stagger away at the Junkyard next door (1W). The Junkyard is a designated entry point and is maintained at VSB+2. Should the Junkyard prove inaccessible, the next-nearest entry point is St. Columbanus's Hospital at [74,24], which is just 2SE away.

Please report any violations of the barricade plan to The Dribbling Beavers Message Board and please note that you do not need to sign up for an account to post a message.

This location is designated to be barricaded at EHB(+4) under the Santlerville Barricade Plan.

Maintenance

Though keeping the beer cold can arguably be just as important as healing the critically injured and revivifying the remaining survivors of Malton, these hard times mean that the Knight Arms is not on the priority list of being supplied with a generator (kept fuelled) and radio transmitter.

Current Status

March 8th, 2010

Management over at the Burchell Arms Regulars (B.A.R.) decided to relinquish ownership of the Knight Arms, instead focusing their efforts on the security of their primary headquarters at the Burchell Arms over in Rolt Heights. Jointly the former BAR team which oversaw the pub, the Santlerville Defenders, were reassigned to other roles within the group. This team is not to be confused with The Knight Watchmen, who were formed from members originally stationed at the Knight Arms, but who now serve as the BAR's enforcement (read: bounty hunting) arm. --Mobius

Santlerville is under attack but the pub is still up and running. --Zita Swoon 16:08, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

The pub is empty, and worse: the kegs are empty. There's a genny running low on fuel. But empty? It's like something out of Shaun of the Dead. Creepy. --Lariat2301 10:23, 10 June 2009 (BST)

December 19th, 2008

Napkin Jones of the Burchell Arms Regulars reported the pub was Extremely Heavily barricaded and stated, "I'm currently sitting at the Knight Arms enjoying a few IPAs next to our new Christmas tree."

August 15th, 2007

An AMAZING stand took place at the Knight Arms against LUE and other assorted undead. Every other building in Santlerville had fallen to the horde, but the Knight was still standing, with the lights on and the beer still cold no less! Every survivor in the area flocked to the pub and with strong reinforcements coming from the The Burchell Arms Regulars and The Dribbling Beavers, survivors held off every single zombie incursion. Even after suffering several break-ins the zombies soon discovered that it was impossible to overrun the small pub, no matter how great their numbers. To this the BAR raises a toast, "VICTORY, GLORY, BEER!"

"Beer Or Death!" As I have said many a times. "The Knight Will Never Fall!" - Sargeant 'Fabes' Fable (B.A.R.)

Last orders at 11:00pm. Pub Quiz every Friday night.
